UPDATE: Try the torta with breaded chicken. WOW! Still just as good. We come weekly!! The best of the best. I’ve been to several Mexican food stops in KC. This one has me coming back over and over. The tamale (pork), burrito (carne asada with mole), papas taco. Also, guacamole enchilada hidden secret. Don’t walk run! Sooooo good!

We arrived on a busy evening after a visit to the new Rock Island Bridge. There was a 30 minute wait for a table but two seats open at the bar. We are fortunate not only to get those seats but to watch Cat at the bar juggling half dozen tasks at a home and with a smile. This lady was making drinks, directing waitresses, putting food orders in and keeping the bar moving consistently throughout our stay. Steve and I want to say 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟for Cat and thank you for a great experience tonight!

El Patron was just okay. The food was pretty average—nothing special, honestly. The vibe felt a bit awkward, like something was missing, and the service wasn’t great, either. They did get the drinks right, though; those were actually good! But overall, it wasn’t the best experience. It’s fine for a casual hangout and drinks not for some special occasion.

Food was on point. If you like spicy or even if you prefer mild, this is the place to go. Food looked like it was cooked we'll and tasted even better.

The hostess was a little short with her tone and words. Once our table was ready and our party arrive. She said just go up the stairs in a rude way. The waitress was very friendly and was great with taking our orders. The queso was a little running compared to others.
