Matt Schabo a year agoHad some great tacos at this restaurant today. I had two of the Chorizo and two of the pastor and they were really good. The pastor was very good. Food came out really fast. Overall was a great experience with good food and the bill for two people was only around $33 after tax and tip. Would recommend checking this place out if you're looking for some good tacos
Margarita B 9 months agoWorth every penny spent here. The food quality is authentic and the portions are generous. I can never get Pozole Rojo from any where else that truly taste like Chile. Other restaurants caldo is very colorful at sight but very bland no flavor. I've been coming here for over 20 years since I was a little girl with my family and now my own family enjoys all the delicious hand made food here too and you will too! The staff is always so kind and humble. It's always a welcoming atmosphere as soon as you step in. The restaurants walls are covered in cultural paintings. The music playing has always been appropriate. The adults and children enjoy eating here. The menu sure has something for everyone to eat and savor you won't be disappointed!
L 2 months agoTaqueria El Cabrito is one of those spots where you go when you want real Mexican flavor—no shortcuts, no watered-down dishes. Located in Walker’s Point, this place is especially known for its cabrito (goat), which isn’t something you find everywhere. Their birria de chivo is the star—rich, flavorful, and perfect whether you get it as tacos or in a consommé-style soup. The menu goes deep with classics too: 🔥 Al pastor tacos packed with flavor 🥩 Carne asada & steak tacos 👅 Lengua for those who know what’s up 🫓 Gorditas and enchiladas that hit every time One of the best parts? They usually start you off with free chips and a chunky, spicy salsa plus pickled veggies—simple but done right. Drinks keep it traditional: 🥤 Horchata 🌺 Agua de jamaica (hibiscus) ☕ Champurrado And if you slide through on a Tuesday, they’ve been known to run Taco Tuesday deals (around $1.50 tacos for select meats), which makes it even more worth it. The vibe is super casual—brick walls, family-friendly, and honestly feels like you stepped into a spot somewhere in Mexico. Service is quick, and there’s even a free parking lot, which is clutch in that area. If you’re thinking of checking it out, I’d say: 👉 Go hungry 👉 Try the birria first 👉 Don’t skip the salsa
Justine Filapek a year agoI had to give this one 4 stars for atmosphere because, although it is very bright and open, we were seated at a table where the chairs on one side were actually IN the doorway when occupied. There were plenty of other tables available. This one shouldn't even be placed here because the chairs then blocked half the pass-thru. It made for a disrupted meal. Our server was just lovely. She spoke some English, but was not fluent. We were able to communicate well enough for the orders to be correct when they arrived. I think I might try those translator earphones and see if they're worth the hype. If restaurants made it part of their uniforms there would no longer be any language barriers. Hmmm... ANYWAY. She took good care of us. I got behind on my reviews so it's been over a week since we went. I have forgotten what my two friends had, but I decided to try the Asada Torta Dinner. I know a sandwich doesn't seem like much, but I've never HAD a torta before. The sandwich looks very heavy when it arrives, but the bread is so light and airy it's surprising. In a good way. The steak was cooked beautifully and the sandwich was stuffed with it. It was just delicious. Even though I don't remember what my friends had, I do remember that they had nothing but good things to say. We really enjoyed ourselves.
Ivan LaGuer a month agoThe Goat Birria was outstanding as well as their Beef Tongue Tacos. Good atmosphere and very friendly and attentive staff. All you can expect from a Legit Mexican Family Restaurant
