Maia H 6 months agoThis was one of the few Mexican restaurants opened for lunch on Sunday. It was nice and the staff was friendly. The quessabirria tacos and the veggie fajitas were good and fairly priced. I wish chips and salsa was included!
Linda Salinas 5 months agoTHIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY INSANE IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE!!! EVERYTHING about it is TOP-TIER—the food, the drinks, the vibe, the ENERGY!!! The drinks are WILDLY creative, ridiculously delicious, and everything tastes so fresh it’s unreal. Every visit feels like a full experience, not just a stop for food or drinks. I’ve been here at EVERY time of day and somehow the service is ALWAYS 10/10. Daytime is a super cool, fun, laid-back chill vibe that you can actually relax and enjoy… and at night it turns into an ELECTRIC, high-energy PARTY that you do NOT want to miss. BOTH vibes are elite and BOTH need to be experienced. The staff is NEXT-LEVEL AMAZING. They make you feel welcomed, appreciated, and taken care of from the second you walk in. That’s why I’m a regular and why I keep bringing friends and coworkers—EVERY SINGLE PERSON becomes obsessed and immediately wants to come back. The specialty drinks are UNMATCHED, the ladies who work here are absolute VIBES, and HUGE shoutout to ROSA who goes ABOVE AND BEYOND every single time and truly makes you feel like FAMILY. This place deserves ALL the hype, ALL the stars, and ALL the love. If you haven’t been yet… WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!?! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🔥🍹
Josh Guthrie 2 months agoOkay so I'll start off with the good. They had pretty tasty al pastor tacos. The server I had was fairly nice, though she was uninformed of the specials that they had going on for Cinco de Mayo. But can't blame her cuz she probably wasn't told by management. And that's about all I got. Now on to the constructive feedback. I was reading some of the other reviews of this place and a lot of people had the same concerns, THE BATHROOMS! I went to go use the men's room and I wasn't able to safely use the restroom. When I tried to lock the door I realized there was no way you could lock it and the door was wide open. But the kicker and what SCARED THE LIVING HELL OUT OF ME!!! Was when I went to close the door to the bathroom stall The whole thing almost fell over and I had to stop it from falling. I looked and it wasn't even attached to the freaking wall! I told the staff but no one seemed to be acting on it or say anything about it to me other than the server I informed. Something tells me that they already knew about this issue because when I looked at the wall there was already damage indicating the stall had been swaying back and forth for a while evidenced by the damaged paint on the wall. So that was enough of a huge red flag for me to no longer feel comfortable coming back here again nor would I recommend this location when there's so many other amazing Mexican restaurants especially within walking distance. Also they didn't even bother to put a bag in the trash can that was propping the door open. I asked for specials and they handed me a paper flyer where they even scratched off some of the prices and raised them in sharpie. Maybe these were from last year Cinco de Mayo or something. But I was told that they had $5 margaritas and $2 Al pastor tacos. HOWEVER, those specials were not listed anywhere on their menu or their website. At least not from what I can see. so because it wasn't listed on the flyer I had and it was just with the server told me the specials were, I wasn't completely confident that I was going to be charged properly but luckily I was charged properly. Those tacos were pretty darn tasty and I really enjoyed them like I said earlier! And the $5 margarita might not have been made properly. Think I saw them using a sweet and sour mix instead of the triple sec it calls for. I mean the margarita itself was as yellow as the sweet and sour mixes I use for my drinks at home. And it looks like the same brand I used to from what I saw them use behind the bar. So I paid $5 for a drink but I really don't think it was a margarita. The tacos were pretty inconsistent. One plate came served with a slice of lemon for some reason instead of a lime, which I've never seen at a Mexican restaurant before. The next plate didn't have any citrus. Another note of concern is I witnessed one of the staff pour what I think was horchata into what was clearly a used orange juice bottle that said no pulp on it. Found that kind of funny and it would make sense in a person's home but not a restaurant that serves the public. And the container they poured it from didn't have a lid on it the entire time I was there which was about an hour and a half so anything could have gotten into that stuff. I mean the thing was well within my reach the entire time so it was accessible to customers as well and I had to move it out of the way so it wasn't crowding me where I was eating at the bar. Also it took a little bit of time to get much attention even though there was only like one or two other people in the restaurant when I arrived. So all in all, my server / bartender was pretty nice for the most part. But this restaurant has a significant number of clear health code violations and challenges with consistency. I will not be returning especially when there is better competition right next door. It's a shame cuz I really wanted to like this place and I hope they take this feedback and improve upon their restaurant.
Charlie Suchocki 4 months agoCatrina's is amazing. Best birria tacos and skillets for breakfast. Even better atmosphere! Rosa and her team make any occasion a celebration.
Yasmeen M 5 months agoThe photos online present this establishment as a beautiful and inviting place, but unfortunately our experience did not reflect that. We were unable to stay long enough to try the food, so I cannot comment on the quality of the menu. Upon arrival, we visited the restrooms and immediately noticed several concerns. The bathroom door was wide open, the stalls did not have functioning locks, and there was no toilet paper available. The overall condition suggested that the space had not been cleaned or maintained. Additionally, we were served a pitcher of water that had visible fuzz along the glass, which raised further concerns about cleanliness and sanitation. Given these issues, we chose to leave before ordering.
