Hatch Cantina is a Mexican food restaurant in the Belltown area. It's pretty easy to get to and it's a big restaurant, but parking around here can be tough most of the time so be prepared to walk a bit after finding a spot. Inside they have a few dozen tables and the ability to sit large groups, like ours at 16 people at the time. Their menu is a good size, and they specialize in, you guessed it, hatch chili items. Their prices were good for the portion sizes they serve, and the quality is fantastic. The fries are a must if you go there, but the soup is great with the cornbread and even the tacos, you really can't go wrong. Service was great, even with so many of us, service was prompt and correct, with many follow ups on how we were doing. Overall this is a great place to eat and I'd recommend calling ahead if you want to reserve for a large group.

Visiting from NM I was skeptical about this place and a bit curious. Hatch Cantina was on point. This place was authentic New Mexican with a bit of an upscale twist. The red and green chile was great. I recommend the rellenos! The Las Cruces lemonade was the best drink I had in Seattle. And let's talk Cinco Leches cake. Yum. As a Colorado transplant to Seattle, this place has the green chile you’ve been craving!! Every bite tastes like home. It’s not Mexican food, it’s southwestern food. The owner is from Durango and uses his grandmothers recipe and it is incredible. Highly recommend for anyone from the southwest looking for that taste of home.

What an unexpected surprise in Seattle! Authentic New Mexican Cuisine that I loved. Not Mexican. Not Tex-Mex. New Mexican. I vacation a lot in New Mexico and love the food there. This restaurant was completely on point. Had the green chile cheeseburger (the official state food of New Mexico) and it was one of the best I’ve had. Service was excellent, in particular my server, Magic. My only disappointment is that I’m only in Seattle for 1 night. I would definitely eat here again!

We were walking past Hatch Cantina and spontaneously chose to pop in for an early dinner. We tried the popcorn chicken, queso, and a quesadilla. Overall we thought the food was fairly average, with grainy queso and a super wet quesadilla experience. The popcorn chicken was tasty however. Service was great during our visit but at the same time I thought our margaritas were pretty weak.
