Colette Tobias a month agoI ordered Filete Cantinflas and the meat was perfectly cooked! I ordered it well done and it was extremely tender. If you love cheese this dish is for you! I also had a beef soft taco and the flavor was savory and well seasoned. The guacamole was fresh it lack seasoning. I also had the chocolate cake! 10/10 recommend! The cake was soft and moist with a surprise of chocolate chip with each bite. The vanilla ice cream complimented the cake extremely well. Definitely enjoyed this place and would buy ANY steak from here! Service was quick and the food arrive promptly and hot.
Linda 8 months agoLoved this place, everything was amazing! I got the Filete Azteca and the meat is soo tender!! Service spot on, vibe was great, the food and drinks were tasty!! The green sauce with the chips and salsa is the best I’ve ever had, has a little sweetness to it!! Yummmm!!
Erika Yasmín 4 months agoI really do not like leaving bad reviews, but in this case I feel like I have to. From the moment you walk into the restaurant, the smell of mold and humidity hits you immediately. It is extremely strong. It was so overwhelming that it triggered allergies for me and my family. The host who greeted us was not friendly at all. The décor is just okay, nothing special. The space itself is very uncomfortable. The tables and chairs are small and cramped. When we were seated, there was an open napkin on the table. I mentioned it to one of the servers, and another server told him in Spanish laughing that they had been using that napkin to clean a lamp, not realizing that I also speak Spanish. I immediately asked them to remove everything from the table. From the very beginning, our server was rude. The customer service was simply terrible. The chips and salsas they bring to the table did not taste fresh or authentic at all. Our server recommended the Filete Cantinflas to my husband, saying it was the house favorite. It was not. The steak was extremely small, and the sauce had no flavor whatsoever. I ordered the carne asada, which was also very small and completely bland. The only good thing on my plate was the rice. My daughter ordered the fajitas. The meat was burned and literally had about five small pieces of meat. My son ordered the pollo al ajillo, and that was flavorless as well. Trying to salvage the experience, we ordered dessert. We had two tres leches cakes and a key lime pie. I have never tasted desserts so bad. The tres leches was dry, and the key lime pie tasted like it had been sitting in the refrigerator for a long time. We paid 200 dollars for this meal, and we did not order any alcoholic drinks. We only had water, and my daughter ordered a Shirley Temple. This is Mexican food, which is usually simple and full of flavor. There was nothing special about any of it. It honestly felt like we were paying 200 dollars for valet parking and the location. Without a doubt, this has been the worst restaurant experience of my life. I would not recommend this place to anyone. 🚫🍽️
Miss Everything Escobar 5 months agoOld school Mexican Steakhouse Reservations highly recommended - walked in and no wait. Traveled to Dallas just to have dinner here and was not disappointed. The service from the table staff to management was top tier and they made us feel like we were the only people there. Great food recommendations and I thankfully opted to be surprised - Filete Cantinflas. Full of flavor. You must try the adult dessert beverage for after dinner cocktails. Worth the show!
Rebecca Stuart 10 months agoThe vintage, clubby vibe is cool and the margaritas were on point, but the food didn’t quite match the price tag. It was loud where we sat and a bit of cigar lounge aroma drifted in, and the wait between courses ran long. Valet-only parking adds a little friction, overall fine for the ambiance, just manage expectations.
