During a recent trip to Dallas, a couple of friends and I were deciding where to go for dinner near the downtown, and one of them suggested Meso Maya—and I’m really glad she did. From the moment we arrived, the place had this lively, welcoming energy. We ended up sitting in the outdoor patio area, which honestly felt magical. It’s an open-roof courtyard surrounded by brick walls painted with beautiful floral murals, with warm string lights crisscrossing overhead and soft music playing in the background. The glow of the lights against the brick, the cozy seating, and the relaxed evening atmosphere made it such a pleasant place to unwind and enjoy dinner. The food was equally impressive. We started with chips and salsa, and the basket of golden, crispy chips with that rich, smoky salsa was dangerously addictive. I paired it with a classic margarita followed by a cucumber margarita, which was a first for me and surprisingly refreshing—the citrusy tang with the hint of cucumber made it incredibly smooth and easy to sip. The guacamole was wonderfully fresh and flavorful. For the main course I ordered the vegetarian enchiladas, served with rice and topped with a rich sauce, and they were packed with flavor—comforting, hearty, and delicious. What made the evening even better was the staff, who were genuinely warm, attentive, and friendly throughout the meal. Between the beautiful patio setting, great drinks, flavorful food, and welcoming service, the whole experience felt memorable. If I’m back in Dallas again, this will absolutely be a place I return to. 🌮🍹✨

My boyfriend and I went to celebrate my birthday at this location and we had the most AMAZING experience! Please please please ask for Gabriel! He made my birthday so incredible and went out of his way to make us feel special! It was my first time there so the he sent us guac… The Herradura salmon was cooked to perfection and I had questions on what the chayote was and because I was hesitant he went out of his way to request the sauce on the side for me without me having to ask. The Arrachera was a great serving and we even had leftovers! We ordered the churros which i recommend and Gabriel also surprised us with a birthday treat: he brought little disco ball, a fun candle and a birthday queen sash and even took a Polaroid of me for the memories. My boyfriend and I will never forget his service and we will be back to this location just because of how amazing he made the experience!!

Our server Gabriel was very tentative with our small group! Kept our drinks refilled and also informed us about the dishes we were eating. Amazing experience with the food and atmosphere. Great tunes too! :)

OMG Meso Maya Comida is the very best Mexican restaurant in downtown Dallas. You must save room for dark chocolate cake, pastel de chocolate, the ribeye chicaron appetizer is wonderfully delicious and the pozole verde is grandmas recipe at its finest. The staff is amazing and the restaurant is very special. Free 2 hr parking in back a few space at front door. Fine here once and you will be a forever customer.

I must say, the Food and service here of 10/10 stars. My sister and I sat and ate at the Bar, and the Bartenders Alondra (Alo) and Omar were amazing. They made sure to ask if everything was good. Kept our glasses filled and Super Friendly. Definitely will need returning to Meso Maya in down town Dallas!
