Pradnya B a month agoMy son took me here for Mother’s Day brunch, and it turned out to be a great experience. He had made reservations, so we didn’t have to wait. We sat outside, and the weather was perfect for brunch. We tried the esquites, which had a nice char and a little kick. The tostada with pickled carrots was fresh and flavorful, but the blue corn pancakes were definitely the highlight of the meal. Drinks were just okay. Overall, great ambiance and a really nice spot for brunch, especially if you can get patio seating. Definitely recommend making reservations.
Lore F 2 months agoWe tried several dishes including the guacamole, the crudo, the carnitas tacos, the chicken a la brasa, and the churros, and all of them were absolutely delicious. Everything was flavorful and the overall dining experience was fantastic. Unfortunately, a few hours after our dinner on Wednesday night, I became very sick with severe stomach issues that persisted for several days, culminating in a visit to emergency care for dehydration and treatment. I can’t say for certain what caused it, but I wanted to share this feedback in case it’s helpful for the restaurant to be aware and look into. Aside from that situation, the service, ambiance, and overall experience at the restaurant were excellent. The service we received from Mike was exceptional and his recommendations were spot on and made our experience really enjoyable.
Nora 4 months agoWalked in on a Saturday evening hoping to get a table for two and were initially told there would be a two-hour wait. We decided to check the bar area and, after about 15 minutes, were able to grab a table there instead. Overall, the food was good, though I enjoyed some dishes more than others. The short rib quesadilla (6/10) was my least favorite — it was quite greasy and lacked flavor. The tostada de tinga (8/10) was much better: very flavorful and well-balanced. The queso flameado (7/10) was also tasty and came in a generous portion. The churros were the highlight of the meal (9/10) — absolutely delicious. I’d definitely recommend making a reservation next time to avoid the long wait, but overall it was a solid dining experience.
Aaron Gill 6 months agoGreat brunch at La Condesa! We arrived right at opening and the service was fast, friendly, and very knowledgeable. The chicken chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, churro waffles, and queso flameado were all hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Agua Frescas were super tasty and refreshing. They were very accommodating about us not eating pork and the brunch menu is surprisingly vegetarian‑friendly. Do note that the queso is authentic Mexican queso (not Tex‑Mex), rich and delicious. So if your expecting Tex-Mex, it may not be for you, but we thought it was delicious. Eggs were cooked perfectly, and the chilaquiles had some good spiciness but was a bit salty, however it was still excellent. Generous portions, great quality, and overall a fantastic experience. Highly recommend.
Keith Wilkinson 3 months agoHad dinner at La Condesa and it was delicious. I had the guacamole to start (I’d give it a 3.5/5 tbh). Fresh but pretty simple & a bit too acidic imo. Also the tostadas with it are too thick for my liking. I like a thin chip. All in all though it wasn’t bad. Lastly I had the chicken A la Brasa which came on a bed of sweet potato purée and covered with a chermoula. The chicken was smoked and came with homemade tortillas (5/5). Very delicious. Daniel, my waiter was great. Very good service.
