I try to stay at the Tommie whenever I’m in town, and a huge reason why is the convenience of having Arriba Abajo just an elevator ride away. This place never disappoints! From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was top-notch from everyone on staff. In particular, our hostess, Jaden, was so sweet and incredibly accommodating with our seating preference, setting the perfect tone for the evening. Our server, Statin, was absolutely wonderful—attentive, friendly, and spot-on with recommendations. The food is out of this world, and I want to point out some standout appetizers. We fell in love with the Salmon Crudo—we originally ordered it for lunch and loved it so much we had it again for dinner! The Seabass Leche De Trigre appetizer was another standout, featuring a beautiful, subtle combination of flavors. Also, I've developed a slight shellfish allergy, but the Crispy Rock-Shrimp is perfection and worth the risk (lol - or a preemptive Benadryl)! The drinks were just as impressive. The Frozen Passion Fruit Tini was a little too sweet but a perfect pool-side drink. Also, I love a Carajillo, and their Carajillo Old Fashioned definitely didn't disappoint! Looking forward to trying their Arriba Carajillo on the dessert menu. But first let's dig into the Mango Tres Leche we ordered to go... Beyond the food and drinks, the overall experience is unmatched. The views of Austin are fabulous, the music is always on point, adding to the super friendly & fun vibe! One of our favorite perks is being able to keep our tab open and take our drinks right out to the pool to enjoy all the different flavors. Arriba Abajo is a special spot with an amazing team - can’t wait to come back!

Food was not that good here but enjoy the view! They have great music to listen to on Saturday brunch day. Started off with the guacamole and it was perfect. Especially the chips, I don’t know how they do it, but it must be like triple fried with great seasoning. Amazing!! The breakfast fajitas was probably the best thing that I ate and I would highly suggest, the only problem is they give you a large portion of filling, but they only give you three tortillas. We had some spicy tuna like taco and the tuna tasted un fresh and old. I would not get that. The taquitos that was on the brunch menu supposedly had to Wagyu Beef, but it doesn’t taste like Wagyu Beef. It taste like a taquito that you would get at Costco. The rock shrimp, taste like panda express crispy fried shrimp Chitaquita had dry chicken and the chips were sweet, it was all right nothing to write home to mom about. Overall, the presentation is beautiful and ambience is nice, but I wouldn’t recommend this place if you wanted to eat good food except if you’re gonna have the fajitas which was amazing. The customer service was great.

I ordered a margarita, duck carnitas, side order of rice & beans, and a tres leches cake. The duck carnitas was absolutely delicious, but the portion size didn't really match what I spent for that item so I had to order the rice and beans. The margarita was good (smaller sized glass). The tres leches cake wasn't moist but had a nice flavor. If it was moist I probably would've enjoyed it more. The atmosphere and service was spot on though. May come again.

I had a great experience at Arriba Abajo Rooftop. The service was excellent the staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming even during a busy time. I was visiting from Minneapolis, and the manager went out of her way to show genuine hospitality. She was warm, helpful, and made the experience feel personal and memorable. Truly appreciated the care and professionalism. Highly recommend if you’re in Austin.

Arriba Abajo really lives up to its name — my taste buds went arriba with excitement, then promptly abajo after trying the appetizers. We sampled several, and while none were bad, none were exactly writing home to grandma either (unless grandma owns the place). The vibe was great though — cool atmosphere, friendly staff, and strong drinks that definitely helped boost the flavor rating by at least one star. Would I come back? Absolutely. Would I order the appetizers again? Only if my enemies are hungry. All in all, a solid four stars for the experience, minus one for the culinary confusion.
