Juan Enciso 3 months agoWhat a pleasant dining experience I got at Herencia today!! The place environment is amazing !! The food is to die for !! And the service was impeccable !! After reading their menu, I wanted to try one of each, but that would be just too much. The meal started with complimentary Soft Blue Corn Tortilla Chips with a trio of sauces. For entrée, ended up choosing the Assorted Mini Tacos, which had a variety of meats: Carne Asada, Pork Al Pastor, Chicken and Carne En Su Jugo. The portion was just perfect, so I could leave room for dessert. The display of the mini tacos had a picture perfect presentation (100%PPP) with 3 sauces. Meats were served atop soft white corn tortilla, on the side were lemon wedge, pineaple slice and a edible purple pansy flower to top it off. Flavor profiles were right on point with their description. Then onto the dessert: A decadent Coconut Flan with a prsentation that supersede the beauty I can ever describe. Consistent coconut flakes all over the flan, garnished with fresh berries: strawberries, blue land black berries, crowned with soft cream topping. Flavor profile: Amazing !! Service provided by Ileana+ was top notch, very knowledgeable of the menu and skillful on service ethics. So, for all those looking into a high end Mexican restaurant in Albuquerque, I will highly recommend Herencia. Chef Henrique Valdovinos and his team have achieve a high level of proficiency into Mexican Food gastronomy this side of the border. Thank you Chef, for such a Great Meal !! See you again, soon.
Amanda Edwards 6 months agoLoved this spot! The food tasted truly authentic and reminded me of home-style Mexican cooking. The enchiladas were delicious, and the beans and rice were simple but so flavorful. We started with a cheese appetizer that was warm and cheesy in the best way. The flan was the perfect finish—smooth, creamy, and not overly sweet. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making it a great place to sit, eat, and enjoy the experience. Definitely coming back if you’re craving real Mexican food.
Bill Robinson 3 weeks agoThe appetizer that they provide you with the cut up tortillas and dipping sauces was a little dry but still tasted good. The crab enchiladas were delicious. The server and owner were friendly.
Mik Michelle 8 months agoWe live in Las Cruces and come to ABQ every now and then to hit Trader Joe's and make a fun weekend of it. We really don't have any great restaurants in town, so when in ABQ, we enjoy trying new places with great food! We came across Herencia's menu and knew we had to have lunch here. The weather was just right to enjoy our meal on the patio. Kevin was our server and he could teach the art of how to care for customers. He was FANTASTIC and took care of our every need! My friend has severe nut allergies and I'm vegetarian. We both had the Mexico City Street Quesadillas and I subbed one of mine. The sauces were delish! I think my faves were the Poblano and cheese, and zucchini blossoms with Panela cheese. We were there on Dia de los Muertos and the owner popped by to welcome us and gave us a sugar skull cookie. What a 'sweet' treat! Not only did we feel cared for as patrons, but the food was AH-MAZING! Would highly recommend. We know that Herencia's will always be a part of our trips to ABQ in the future. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of us. We appreciate you and will see you next time.☺️ PS: If they opened earlier for breakfast on Sundays, we would have loved to enjoy brunch there too! Maybe next time!
Brandi Montoya 4 months ago⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 — I would fight someone over these enchiladas. The lobster enchiladas? LIFE-CHANGING. I’m not being dramatic (okay maybe a little), but they were AMAZING. Rich, flavorful, and the kind of dish that makes you close your eyes after the first bite. The steak salad was fresh, perfectly cooked, and made me feel slightly responsible before I dove back into the enchiladas. And the coconut flan?? Listen. I thought I was full. I was not. I magically found room. Worth it. Every. Single. Bite. But let’s talk about Eric — the best server we’ve ever had. Attentive without hovering, funny without trying too hard, and somehow always appearing exactly when we needed something. Give this man a raise immediately. We will absolutely be back. If you see me there ordering the lobster enchiladas again… mind your business. 🌮🍮
