If you are in the South Loop and craving authentic Mexican food, La Cantina Grill is a must visit. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is lively yet cozy, with great music that really sets the tone for a fun and relaxed dining experience. The food and drinks are both high quality, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. Everything we tried was delicious, and the prices felt more than fair for what you get. It is the kind of place that leaves a strong impression and definitely deserves the hype.

Best vegan Mexican meal I've had in years. They have a whole vegan menu with staples like tacos, enchiladas, chimichangas, quesadillas, etc... complete with seitan meat substitutes and non dairy cheese and cream that kinda make the meal complete. Everything you see in my photo was completely vegan. Tacos al pastor and a chimichanga, complete with rice and beans. The only thing it was missing was a tasty vegan desert - maybe some day. Shout out to the staff, specifically José, for catering to our experience. Highly recommend. Debe visitar se tiene una dieta vegana para comida mejor. Los precios son reasonables y los empleados son pacientes. Que bueno este restaurante. Comprámos tacos y una chimichanga (los dos con "al pastor" vegan). Nos encantamos!!!

Grabbed dinner with friends since this was within walking distance of McCormick Place. Would recommend a reservation since it was super busy! Got a martini & tacos which came with rice & beans. Also came with free chips & salsa for the table! My friend is gluten free and their staff were knowledgeable about recommendations for her restriction which is always nice to see. This had the typical atmosphere of a Mexican restaurant with good background music and overall vibes. Only minor thing is that since they pack the space, our chairs were against the wall and I had to get up to let my friend out of the corner. It wasn't too loud and we were able to talk amongst ourselves and the staff were very friendly and professional. Would come by again!

My wife and I ate here before we went to see System of a down and Avenge Sevenfold at soldier field. Cute little place. We ate outside. It was very nice. I ordered the steak tacos. She got a chimmichonga. Very delicious. The waitress was very nice and our food came out quick.

José was our server and we had an excellent experience. His recommendations were very helpful as I couldn't decide what to order. The vegan chimichanga with chorizo was so good I couldn't stop eating. 11/10 would recommend
