I decided to go here for my birthday and I was not disappointed! The food was amazing and I loved my birthday cake. Amber was my waitress and she was such a sweetheart. She was working hard and I thank you for being so sweet. I hope she had a great shift because they had her doing more than she should've.

We visited Momento to celebrate May 6th, and overall, it turned into a memorable experience with great food, a fun atmosphere, and just a few quirks worth mentioning. Ambience & Decor The space immediately stands out thanks to its walls—beautiful, thoughtfully designed, and refreshingly free of generic or AI-style artwork. The tables were comfortable, and the lighting worked well (most of the time). The plants, while fake, still added to the vibe. That said, not everything was perfect. Some decorative elements felt worn or even broken, and one piece on the table was not just out of place—it was actually dangerous and caused an injury. That’s definitely something the restaurant should address urgently. Restroom Surprisingly, the restroom deserves its own mention—it was stylish and very “Instagrammable,” adding a fun and modern touch to the overall experience. Food & Drinks This is where Momento really shines. * The tacos were a highlight, including the octopus—surprisingly delicious even for someone who doesn’t usually enjoy it. * The beef tartare was well-prepared and flavorful. * The gorditas were another standout. * A thoughtful touch: the kitchen accommodated a request for a non-corn tortilla option, which was greatly appreciated. To top it off, the mezcal cocktails (“mezcalitos”) were exceptional—easily one of the highlights of the evening. Service & Overall Experience We had a great time celebrating together, and the overall experience was very positive. Even the quieter members of our group summed it up efficiently: “Great” and “Five stars.” Final Verdict Despite a few issues with decor maintenance (and a safety concern that shouldn’t be overlooked), the quality of the food, drinks, and overall atmosphere made this a standout visit.

First let me say, our waitress Lauren i believe did well. The place is exceptionally beautiful, with a modern day twist on Latin aesthetic. They have a host of menu items that are specific to the restaurant. My only complaint was our bus boy and the managers attitude. The guy who came to our table would just sit the food anywhere. He dropped birria consume on one of my colleagues and didn't apologize. He dropped my silverware, and then got frustrated with me because I said something about it. The manager only came out to my colleague, and didn't address me who was also offended by the experience. Perhaps it was just a bad night? Anyway, my fish tacos were good, all my colleagues (with the exceptionally of the one who got the chicken mole tacos and the queso birria tacos) were happy with their food. The other two said it either lacked moisture (mole tacos) or flavor. I don't know if I'd give this place another try. Usually once a bad taste is left in my mouth from an experience, I can't shake it. But it's not completely off the table. They did try and make up for it by bringing my boss a treat so she was happy.

Great food!! The Chicken sopes were delicious!!! I loved the flight of authentic salsa. Different spice levels and I welcomed the bold flavors from the salsa. I was looking for more flavor in the rice and beans. Adding the salsa helped. Great prices and fast service. I was able to get a seat on a Saturday afternoon pretty quickly (after being past over once). Nevertheless, the server made up for it. My meal was fresh and hot straight from the kitchen. Good and bad to see the open kitchen layout. Makes fir the opportunity to see how food is being handled. Overall, great experience. I will be back.

I am a skeptic when it comes to Mexican food in touristy areas. Especially when they claim to be authentic. However, this restaurant made me reevaluate my philosophy on this. The food was exquisite. The salsa macha is one of the best I have ever eaten. The habanero salsa is spicy, but tamed enough to enjoy. The every salsa they made had a certain kick to them, but it was enjoyable. The dinner concluded with a hearty desert that was recommended to me by the staff. I will make it a goal to visit this restaurant every time I visit the city.
