My wife and I were looking for great Mexican food and this place was very highly rated, so we drove out of our way to give it a try. Seriously, I don't understand all of the 5-star reviews. The food was bland and overpriced for what you get. I had the Mexican Paella which was 80-90% rice with a bit of protein added, not much flavor, and honestly was not worth the $25 price tag. My wife had the Asada burrito which she said lacked flavor and ended up eating only about a third of it. On a positive note, the tableside salsa service was very good and the beer was served ice cold. We'll keep looking for good Mexican food in Tucson but I cannot recommend this place.

To start, there is complimentary salsa served table side, which was really fun. You can alter the spice level and ingredients of the salsa and then they mix it up for you. My husband loved the salsa, though there was too much cilantro for my liking. We both got the Plato Pancho Villa as it’s a way to try multiple things. It comes with steak, a chicken enchilada, and a chile relleno. I was surprised by the relleno, it was better than I expected. I’m not one for spicy things, but it wasn’t too spicy. It was a poblano stuffed with Monterey cheese and then battered and fried. It was pretty good! We were less impressed by the chicken enchilada and the steak desperately needed salt, which I requested but never got. The kids got the quesadilla meals with rice and it was pretty good. The decor was bright and fun, and it was an overall good experience, but the service was very slow.

First timer here. Was recommended by a family member and it was worth it. Our server was Ramon. Great service and attentive. First time I ever experienced salsa being made fresh on the spot in front of me. You can also adjust the heat prior to it being made. The restaurants also has a bar. Very spacious and nicely decorated inside. Food was tasty. Bummer we did't get to try the mussels as they ran out. We ordered the Beef steak Fajitas, Mexico Chopped salads, and Quesabirria. They were very much for 2 people as we had to take home.

Nice restaurant, a very nice staff, lunch menu was reasonably priced. Cocktails were a much as our lunch but way better than lunch itself. Of that makes sense. I had cheese enchilada, beef taco rice and beans. Just ok. Here's the kicker! A lady comes around with her cart of chips, all ingredients for guacamole and salsa made to order! All fresh!! Made to your specific taste. Fresh! That made it for me. I did look at dinner menu and will say it was a bit pricey but pictures looked great. Will try dinner at some point.

The food was fantastic! We especially enjoyed the table side salsa they made for us, ABSOLUTELY DELISH and it was on the house! The atmosphere was very authentic and nice Our waiter Cecelio was great and answered all our questions We are definitely coming back!
