Nice low key atmosphere, attentive service as well. Brandon was very welcoming and very informative. The food is delicious. I enjoyed the La Bandera enchiladas, which has 3 different flavors, birria, chicken and cheese. All 3 were excellent along with the pinto beans. We also had the elotitis as an appetizer.

We were in Tucson checking out Saguaro National Park and Mount Lemmon. After a long day of motorcycling- we found Chela’s within walking distance of our hotel. What a FANTASTIC find! The Sonoran Hibiscus cocktails were great and the steak fajitas and enchiladas were SO tasty! Gabriel was an attentive waiter without being overbearing. Next time we’re in Tucson - we’ll be back!

I usually dont leave bad reviews. But we didnt get seen til like 45 min after we been seated. Our waiter said he didnt know he had our table. Our food had missing ingredients like the cheese in the bacon wrapped chillis and chicken in my mini chimis. Our table next to us found a hair in their food. And half their order was never placed same server by the way . I asked for a margarita and they brought me one without the liquor in it only reason I notice because server asked how's my mocktail I was like oh no I didnt order that no wonder it tasted so sweet.. maybe it was not the day but definitely not going back.

We celebrated my husband's Birthday, he wanted something different so we tried Chela's for the first time. Wow! Everything was excellent! The food was delicious and plentiful! The service was the best. Brandon was excellent--attentive, efficient and personable!! We will most definitely be back!

Out for Saturday nite date with my Bride and enjoyed a delicious pre-concert meal. I had the Chelachanga birria with cilantro lime rice and calabacitas and my wife had the chile relleno. Both plates were served with the right amount of food and plated to also fill the sense of sight. Our food was served very quickly and both cocktails were on point! Our server Erin was very courteous and offered dessert at the end of our meal. I highly recommend this eatery in downtown Tucson.
