Since I can’t give 6 stars for service, here is a shoutout to Johan for taking care of us at the bar. It was a busy Friday and we didn’t have reservations, but there wasn’t a wait to sit at the bar. We were greeted immediately and chips and salsa arrived shortly thereafter. The menu is so expansive, it’s almost hard to choose. You will not be disappointed by the Mocaljete de Mariscos - we ordered the single portion (and added a lobster tail) and it was more than enough for two people to share. The sauce was so amazing I could have taken a jug of that home and sipped it like soup. The drinks were also delicious and they had a robust selection of beers on tap (and bottled). I can now add this to my list of favorite Tucson restaurants!

Had this location saved for my next trip from California. It took 45 mins for the food to arrive and we had to repeatedly request for napkins and water. The food tasted bland and spice level was for Caucasian taste. Had grilled tacos (shrimp and fish) and both were undercooked. Added chimichangas and was disappointed by how dry it was. My wife suggested I shouldn’t eat anymore since she saw my face of dissatisfaction and the fact that I recommend this location made me more unsatisfied. The horchata and jamaica were watered down and did not represent authentic taste to your Abuelas recipe. I should’ve just asked foodies of Tucson to recommend better quality Mexican food in south Tucson since I stayed in that area.Also note that they missed an order of shrimp ceviche luckily didn’t get billed probably would leave a bad impression. And how do you run out of churros ??

The food was amazing and the service was great! ROSA was my servicer and she took care of the whole company party! She made sure everyone’s food was exact and helped up choose between the green chile and mole enchiladas! She recommended both and that was the right choice!! The quesabrillas are AMAZING!!!! No wonder they are award winning!

My brother and I had an excellent dinner at Amelia’s last night. Louie and Johan provided attentive service. Cevice, Birria tacos and birria enchiladas w/ Oaxaca sauce were all outstanding. Fabulous house Margaritas.

Rodrigo V was a great server. Super friendly and helpful with which dishes he recommended. The food was fantastic. I got the Molcajete Ameilia based on Rodrigo V’s recommendation and it was the best meal I’’ve had in a long time. Very authentic and delicious. This place us the real deal. Great drinks also. Highly recommend you try Amelia’s Kitchen! You will love it.
