Shelby Bennett 2 months agoEverything about this restaurant is a 10/10 in my book. The friendliness of the staff, the quality of the food, the relaxed atmosphere. The chips and guac with salsas is necessary. Low key the best tortilla chips I’ve ever had. The mole negro is a top 3 dish for me. So tasty, beautiful presentation. The pork belly and bean dish was like a slow cooked meal you’d get on a Sunday. Talk about cozy. I’ll be talking about this meal for a long time to come.
Tanuj Joshi a month ago⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolute gem in Nashville! Maiz de la Vida is completely knocking it out of the park. The atmosphere is vibrant, colorful, and incredibly welcoming, but the food and drinks are the real stars of the show. Finding a spot that genuinely delivers on phenomenal, authentic meat-free options can sometimes be a challenge, but every single dish we ordered was a massive hit. Here were the standouts: • The Starters: The guacamole with blue corn chips was incredibly fresh and perfectly seasoned, accompanied by a beautiful trio of house-made salsas that each brought their own perfect kick. • The Mains: The green enchiladas were an absolute dream. They were generously smothered in a rich, tangy green sauce, a beautiful layer of melted cheese, and fresh red onions. It completely proves that you don't need a single ounce of meat to have a deeply satisfying, hearty Mexican meal. • The Specialties: We also ordered a stunning avocado dish served in a bright, vibrant yellow sauce and topped with perfectly crispy sweet potato chips. It was beautifully balanced and incredibly refreshing. • The Drinks: The beverage presentation is top-tier. The cocktail served in the Día de los Muertos skull mug, complete with a dramatic charred garnish inside a corn husk, was an absolute showstopper. Every detail, from the presentation to the flavor profiles, was thoughtfully executed. Whether you're looking for a full, satisfying meal or just an excellent spot to grab drinks and chips, you have to check this place out. I'm already looking forward to going back!
Reed Balentine a month agoWow. Oaxaca-style house made tortillas were to die for. Beautiful open-air aesthetic was delightful. Flavors were amazing from start to finish. Staff was just perfect. Definitely try the custard brûlée! Great alcohol-free, cocktails, beer, and wine selection.
Kristi McGill 7 months agoWhat an incredible dining experience from start to finish! Every item on the menu was absolutely perfection and you could taste the passion and care that went into making them. What really stood out to me was the fact that not only was there passion from the chefs but our server had incredible passion and love for everything they make and it shined through in how she cared for our table. We came in on a work trip for Bob’s Red Mill and had the pleasure of getting to meet the owner and Chef and him sharing the story of how he started was so special. I am an absolute foodie and would rank this as a top 10 dining experience.
Vivian Gornik 5 months agoThoughtfully prepared delicious food. Excellent service. We went for dinner and it was perfect for our girl dinner. Great margarita. Small but punchy menu. Cozy atmosphere. Friendly staff. Don’t skip dessert! Absolutely plan to come back!
