I've been wanting to try this place out for awhile. So, when looking for a place to meetup with a friend for lunch, I suggested here so I can finally try it out. Gives a very upscale like feel, with a tropical chic ambiance. I made a reservation to be on the safe side, but it wasn't really busy for the time that we were there (around 12pm on a Monday). The hostess was very friendly and greeted me with good energy when I walked in. She promptly checked me in and brought me over to our table. Our waitress during our meal was really great too! Good energy, personable made some great suggestions on food options to and did a good balance of checking on us while giving us time to enjoy food or talk. Now to the food - it was pretty good. I was concerned it would be a place with all the good decor, ambiance and vibe with bad food, but luckily that wasn't the case. We both felt the portion sizes were good and the food has good flavors. I got the Express Lunch which gave a sampling of a couple of core menu items. Because of the portion size, I was able to take some home with me to finish later - after eating chips, salsa and guacamole before our entrees, I was too full to eat everything there. Cool spot that I plan and want to check out again, especially during like happy hour.

Carnitas tacos were flavorful, full, and had a lot of meat. The pork was really good. All the fixings were very good as well. The express lunch was a bit light with one enchilada and one taco. Rice and beans were nicely cooked though. Enchilada suiza had some good heat to it though! Great atmosphere. Very clean restaurant. Great decorations. Good views of the tv as well. Lots of bar seats. Happy hour is only at the bar.

My husband and I recently dined at Mi Vida and had mixed feelings about our experience. On a positive note, the atmosphere was beautiful, the service was excellent, and our waitress was very attentive and friendly. We had a reservation, arrived a few minutes late, and were still seated right away without any issues, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations. The main course, the salmon with sweet potato purée, was very disappointing. The salmon was served extremely rare/raw in the middle, and neither of us could eat it. While some people may prefer salmon prepared that way, we wish the restaurant had asked how we wanted it cooked or at least informed us beforehand. It was definitely not what we expected when ordering. Another thing to keep in mind is parking. If you’re driving, the parking lot across the street charged us $29 per hour, which added significantly to the cost of the evening. Between dinner and parking, my husband and I spent well over $150, and unfortunately, we left feeling unsatisfied with the meal. What surprised me most was that, considering how many great reviews this restaurant has, I was genuinely shocked by our experience. Perhaps the salmon is prepared this way intentionally and may be enjoyable for others, but it simply was not to our liking. While I understand that everyone’s tastes are different, I wanted to share our experience so future guests know what to expect. Overall, the atmosphere and service were great, but the food and overall value for the experience left much to be desired.

The design is DOPE. Great looking spot. Modern, upscale Mexican. Lots of booths. (I love booths) Food was good, not great. Portions were small. Service was top notch. If the food were better I'd go back.
