La Catrachita Taqueria serves some of the best tacos in the city and is absolutely worth trying. The birria tacos and the birria taco ramen were both incredibly flavorful and clearly made fresh. Everything came out quickly, and the ordering process was easy using the self-serve kiosk. Seating is limited, so it’s more of a quick stop than a place to hang out. While it’s definitely a must-try spot, the pricing is a bit high- about $35 for the two items, and for that price point, there are other local spots offering similar quality. Still, I’d recommend checking it out at least once.

The service is great, the staff is very friendly. The food is cooked to order and absolutely delicious. My friends ordered the birria burrito, and I ordered the birria ramen and tacos. The birria broth is full of flavor. The ramen is packed with meat and cheese. There are no tables in the restaurant, but there is counter space where you can eat. They also have lots of desserts that looked absolutely delicious. I will be back. Gracias chef!

Amazing birria tacos. We had the mixed chicken and beef. The consommé is also outstanding for dipping. Also quite a full dessert case. (Pic of the huge flan!)

My go-to spot for Mexican food in Philly and they’re open 24/7! Their birria tacos are easily some of the best in town, super cheesy, flavorful, and juicy. Definitely try the shrimp and chicken birria, both are🔥. The real sleeper here is the Torta Cubana, you haven’t lived until you’ve had it at least once 😭. Portion size, flavor, and texture are all on point. Service is always friendly, and the fresh juice options are great, the passion fruit is my favorite. Don’t skip dessert either, we tried an Oreo strawberry cake, and it was surprisingly delicious! If you’re craving authentic Mexican food in Philadelphia that hits every time, this place is a must-visit.

My wife and I were craving tacos in the middle of the night, and luckily we found La Catrachita Taqueria open 24 hours a day. Their special tacos are really tasty, and after our first visit, we ended up coming back three days in a row.
