Outstanding Service from Makenzie and Exceptional Management by Cayla! I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Bartaco in downtown Jacksonville recently, and I have to say, this experience was elevated entirely by two remarkable team members: Makenzie and Cayla. Makenzie was our waitress, and from the moment we sat down, her warmth and attentiveness made us feel like valued guests. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offering thoughtful recommendations that were spot-on for our tastes. Her timing was impeccable—checking in at just the right moments without being intrusive, and she genuinely seemed to care that we were having a great experience. Her positive energy and professionalism turned what could have been just another dinner into something truly memorable. Cayla, the manager, also made a lasting impression. You can tell she leads by example and has cultivated a wonderful team culture. She stopped by our table to ensure everything was perfect, and her genuine hospitality and attention to detail were evident. It’s clear she takes pride in both her staff and the guest experience, and that kind of leadership makes all the difference. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was vibrant, but it was truly Makenzie and Cayla who made this visit exceptional. I’ll absolutely be returning to Bartaco, and I hope to see these two again. My husband and I had such an amazing time here. From the moment we walked in, the energy was everything. Our server Steven had the best energy and really made the experience even better. He knew the menu so well, answered all of our questions, and kept checking on us throughout the day while bringing our drinks and food. His recommendations were top tier, you can tell he truly knows what he is talking about. The managers were just as amazing. They personally came over to our table to make sure everything was going well, which we really appreciated. The food and drinks were fresh and so good. Everything about this place stood out, from the service to the atmosphere. We even got a chance to check out the upstairs area after we finished eating and it was beautiful. The appetizer and drink bar lounge is definitely something we are coming back to experience next time. Overall, it was an incredible experience. We left with big smiles and felt so taken care of the entire time, even as we were leaving they made sure to greet us and send us off on a good note. I would definitely recommend this place and we can’t wait to come back together.

We enjoyed a late lunch with friends. Our first time here. We ordered most of the tacos on the menu. Overall the food was decent. The least favorite were the chorizo tacos. A bit fatty and not much flavor. The chicken tacos had great flavor but a little on the dry side. The beef tacos were a solid favorite for our group. The atmosphere was great! Definitely a relaxing vibe. We sat on the patio which was great for people watching.

This place is so beautiful and so charming!! I got multiple different tacos and they were all just delicious. Corn is my fave veggie and the esquites were simply gorgeous. The drinks are made w freshly pressed juice daily and so refreshing!

Not only is this a charming atmosphere with great food, but the staff went above and beyond to make our experience so enjoyable! I have a lot of dietary allergies that they were more than happy to accommodate. The menu clearly lists gluten vs gluten free, and items with nuts, and then they were happy to help me with also avoiding dairy. Both our serve, Adrian, and one of the chefs, Tate, were very communicative and substituted things to make the tacos delicious and safe for me! I rarely encounter restaurants like this where I feel so welcomed and cared for. Thank you Bartaco, team!! 😊
