This is my new favorite Mexican restaurant in town. The food choices are very diverse and extremely tasty. The drinks are well made and fairly priced.The staff was very friendly and the owner is awesome. He was personable and the main reason we will be back.

I had a wonderful experience at Flying Mexican! The food was absolutely delicious—my favorites were the Tinga taco and the jerk chicken burrito, both full of flavor and perfectly prepared. The margarita was also amazing and complemented the meal so well. The ambience is warm and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy your time. On top of that, the service was outstanding—Dayana was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great Mexican food and excellent service!

Tony was amazing very courteous and attentive to our experience. The owner was outstanding and was assisting with seating and giving his overall experience living in DC for over 30 years. You can tell that this restaurant is here to stay and is about the patrons that frequent it! This is a really good place to have a drink, turn up with friends or celebrate an event!!! Baseball fans come thru!! Birthday guy or girl come thru! You definitely won’t regret it and they will take care of you!!!

We found this spot, The Flying Mexican, thanks to a passerby’s recommendation, and it turned out to be one of the best places we’ve tried in Southeast DC, especially around Eastern Market. From the moment we walked in, we loved the cozy, welcoming vibe of the restaurant. The portion sizes were huge, which was honestly one of the best parts. The buffalo chicken sandwich was amazing — flavorful, perfectly cooked, and very satisfying. We also ordered a burrito, which was surprisingly unique and absolutely delicious. Every bite felt thoughtfully made, and we genuinely loved every part of the experience. Overall, great food, generous portions, and a cozy atmosphere make this place a must-visit. We’d definitely come back again!

When I tell you I love everything about Flying Mexican.. Drinks are strong, food is delicious, and the staff goes above and beyond. V.A. and Lilly are awesome bartenders (make sure you tip). Oh Mike……. We didn’t forget about you. The customer service is over the top. He’ll keep you updated with the latest changes on the menu, make sure you’re comfortable, engages into conversations, and so much more. Grab your family and friends for a great night out of fun, laughter, drinks, and food.
