Xica is a wonderful Mexican fusion restaurant located at Levi Plaza. The restaurant is very spacious, clean and elegant, the also have outside seating. The food is excellent! I've been there on multiple occasions, I've had the chicken wings, aguachile mixto and the fish tacos as examples and they were all great! They also have a superb list of drinks like the Dirty Horchata, Expresso Martini and A Michelada made with Chamoy, a Mexican fruity tasting condiment. But where they excel is the excellent service. The wait staff is very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. They also do private parties and Alcohol tastings. I highly recommend Xica!

Had a fantastic dinner at XICA in San Francisco. The food was incredibly delicate and full of flavor—each dish felt thoughtfully prepared and beautifully balanced. The cocktails were just as impressive and paired perfectly with the meal. What made the experience even better was the warm, attentive service. It’s inspiring to see a talented woman leading the kitchen as chef and owner, and her passion clearly shows in every detail. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend if you’re looking for refined Mexican cuisine and great drinks in SF.

Coming here on cinco de mayo was probably not a great idea since there was a prefix menu and we didn’t get to try everything. We got two types of tacos, an enchiladas and rice and beans. The rice was terrible but the beans were delicious. I didn’t try the enchiladas either. I don’t eat cheese. The two tacos were great though!

There is searing inside and outside and both are lovely. The inside has kind of a sunroom with lots of light and windows. We came here for dinner - the food was excellent as was the service. The ribeye was delicious as well as the short rib tacos and endive salad. Margaritas fantastic. Love this place and would definitely go again. It’s a short walk off of the Embarcadero so walk along the water and then for lunch or dinner. Will be back!

As someone with celiac disease, I’ll always appreciate and support dedicated gluten-free restaurants, so major credit to Restaurant for creating a fully gluten-free dining space. Having places where you can order freely without the usual stress or cross-contamination concerns genuinely means a lot, and I hope they continue to succeed because we need more places like this. The restaurant itself was very nice overall — cute decor, good location, and a good mix of indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere, and the service was friendly and solid throughout the visit. I also appreciated the variety on the menu because it’s always exciting seeing more options available in a dedicated gluten-free setting. That said, the food itself ended up being a bit underwhelming for the price point. It wasn’t bad by any means, just more “okay” than memorable, especially considering the cost. If the pricing had been lower, I probably would’ve walked away feeling differently about it, but as it stood, the food quality didn’t quite match the expectations the pricing created. Most importantly though, I didn’t get sick afterward, which is always a huge plus when traveling with celiac disease. Overall, I’d consider going back if I’m in San Francisco again, though it probably wouldn’t be at the very top of my list unless I started seeing reviews mentioning improvements or menu changes. Still, I absolutely appreciate what they’re doing and want to continue supporting dedicated gluten-free spaces like this.
