Located on the Upper portion of Grant Ave. just past Chinatown above Columbus Ave. I was recommended this place by a friend. What I ordered: 1.) Passion Fruit drink $2.75 if you like passion fruit, you will like this. 2.) Supreme Carnitas Burrito$12.50 this tasted just ok lacked a bit of flavor.

El Farolito is a solid Mexican food chain in SF. It has multiple locations and some locations are cash only but this location in North Beach/Chinatown accepts card. They’re also open late and close at 2am so late nights can be filled with many drunk people but a must for some food to soak up that alcohol. I was craving a carne asada super burrito for a while now and it hit the spot, good with both red and green sauce. Their quesadillas look really filling too. And also can’t go wrong with tacos. They’re fast and efficient and they also have chips too. It’s a pretty cozy spot so there is seating inside, no outdoor seating but perfectly ok to enjoy your food out there or even take out. Huge portions for a pretty decent price. There’s street parking but it can get very busy, there are some parking garages in the area and 24 hour ones too.

Seasoned with tradition, fire, and soul so true, One bite became a memory I never outgrew. Some meals are quickly forgotten and quietly let go, But these unforgettable tripa tacos deserve the world to know. So if you’re chasing flavor that lingers long after you roam, Please, get the tripa tacos.

I ordered the shrimp super burrito and added carne asada. I had shrimp in every bite. Very generous portions and very delicious. My boyfriend and I downed the entire thing and left very happy. Staff is nice and food is very solid. I highly recommend

El Farolito is always so good I always get either the al pastor super burrito or the al pastor super quesadilla, but everything I've tried is good just follow your heart. Seating can be tight when they get busy, but things move quickly and the bar next door lets you bring food in as well so that can be an option.
