Alma Bar Cocina is truly one of those rare hidden gems that quietly exceeds every expectation. While the exterior may appear modest and unpretentious, the experience that follows is anything but ordinary. Each dish arrives beautifully presented -- thoughtful, vibrant, and worthy of a culinary magazine spread -- but it's the flavor that leaves the lasting impression. The food here is exceptional. The mole, in particular, is among the best I've ever had: deeply layered, rich, and perfectly balanced, with the kind of complexity that only comes from true craftsmanship and care. Their tacos are equally outstanding, executed with fresh ingredients, bold flavor, and remarkable attention to detail. What makes Alma Bar Cocina so memorable is its authenticity. Beneath the understated interior, is a kitchen producing food with genuine soul, skill, and creativity. Damn good vegan tacos with a lil kick. 3/$10 on Tuesdays. Most of the vegetarian tacos can be made vegan and about half are vegan as is. The margaritas were good too- tart and not sweet

My fiancé and I stopped by here on a whim before a show at the Fox earlier tonight. Hooooly cow the tacos we got were SO good. He got carnitas, I got chorizo and chicken tinga. Omggggggg!!!! Chorizo was fabulous, not too greasy, and spicy. The chicken tinga was super savory and juicy. The green salsa we both had was SO good - fresh and acidic. And don’t get me started on the corn tortillas - so good. The guy who rang us up was super nice, horchata was gas, music was vibey. Food was amazing AND well priced. Please consider stopping by if you’re in the mood for some tasty tacos.

Absolutely delicious and authentic Mexican food. The people who work here are genuinely friendly, and it's easy to see (and taste) their effort in making incredible food. This is a new and growing business, so some amenities are constantly being worked on; but what they have definitely mastered is their carefully constructed dishes. The prices are very cheap, and I'd dare to say they have the best prices in the area. Please come support this business, and bring a friend or two.

The tacos are the best I’ve had in the Bay Area! The owner is very nice! The waitress I’ve always dealt with is the nicest person to serve me tacos! Taco Tuesday is highly recommended! I love this place! I go every Tuesday for lunch!
