Kevin Chen 2 weeks agoAttractive Mexican inspired bar and restaurant with a delicious selection of cocktails and assorted drinks. Very spacious and airy with lots of natural light and tasteful decor throughout the space. Can’t remember what I ordered but I recall it was a very solid pick as were the other drinks our guests also picked on this occasion. The staff here were very kind and friendly to interact with, well versed with the drinks and made our time there enjoyable.
Corey Chamberlain 3 weeks agoMírate is a stunning spot in Los Feliz that everyone needs to experience at least once! The restaurant interior is absolutely beautiful, and the presentation of both the food and drinks is pure art. While it is definitely on the pricier side, the flavors are extremely unique and delicious, making it worth the splurge for a special night out. My only real bummer was discovering they took the vegan ceviche off the menu—that was actually the whole reason I came back! I’m sure they have their reasons, but I was pretty disheartened to see it go. Overall, the menu doesn't have a ton of vegan items, but they do have some room for adjustments if you ask. Despite the menu change, the incredible atmosphere and unique menu still make it a must-try.
Josh Lyman 4 months agoCame to Mírate this evening in search of some delicious and authentic Mexican cuisine. Was overall happy with our visit but think the value wasn’t fully there. I’ll start by saying that the space itself has been beautifully curated. You head up a large flight of stairs and feel transported into a lovely internal space with both an upstairs for reservation seating and a “communal” area down another staircase. Communal space is unique and I guess helpful for cases where you don’t have a revelation. It’s where we sat. The service was good, and staff was kind. I think the communal area makes taking care of folks a little bit more challenging but they were attentive. The food itself was tasty and rich in flavor. Our appetizers were good and we had the salsa platter, toron, and the smashed avocado. Toron was my favorite. Had a couple tacos and the carne asada as well. Everything was tasty but generally felt over priced. $12 dollars for a single taco seems pretty high and the drinks at $20 were good I didn’t think should command that price. My drink came in a can when I was expecting a cocktail which wasn’t ideal. Lastly the potatoes that came with the carne asada just felt a little confusing as a side. Overall food is good, vibe is great, but make a reservation and plan to spend a good amount to get any reasonable amount of food.
Ricardo Robles 4 months agoI’m literally sitting at the table writing this while eating and I had to stop mid-bite because everything here is that good. Mírate is easily one of the best Mexican dining experiences I’ve had in Los Angeles. The flavors are incredible — every dish tastes thoughtful, balanced, and elevated without losing the soul of Mexican food. Nothing feels gimmicky; it just feels done right. The drinks are phenomenal too. Whoever designed the cocktail menu deserves a raise. They’re creative, beautifully presented, and actually taste as good as they look (which is rare). But what really seals it is the ambience and service. The space is gorgeous — warm, stylish, lively without being overwhelming. It feels upscale but still welcoming, not pretentious. And the service? Absolutely top-tier. Attentive, friendly, and they clearly care about the experience. LA has a lot of “pretty but mid” restaurants… this is not one of them. Mírate delivers on flavor, vibe, drinks, and hospitality. I will 100% be back.
Katelyn 8 months agoI came here for brunch and had such a wonderful experience. The cocktails here are something special. I got the mi sancho and the coconut margarita, they were both some of the best cocktails i've ever had! We started with the salsa, it was super fresh and addicting. Next they brought out the fried chicken tacos, which were my favorite food item, they were insanely delicious and i'm so glad we ordered them! The queso was another delicious dish. We also got the yucca y plantains, it was a very unique and flavorful dish, yum. The last thing we got was the mollete, the guac was fresh and the sourdough had such a great tangy flavor. I loved every single thing we ordered and would definitely come back. The actual restaurant was also so cool i loved the open air atmosphere and tropical vibe! The service was great too. Love this place!
