Carolina's is a true staple in the OG South Phoenix neighborhood!! a definite must-visit! Their tortillas are made fresh daily, and you can absolutely taste the difference. The burritos are huge, packed with flavor, and very reasonably priced for the portion size. If you're feeding a big appetite, this is the spot. One of my favorite things is that you can buy their tortillas by the dozen. They're the oversized kind we call "sobaqueras" in Sonora, named for their size and the traditional way they're made. They're perfect for making your own burritos at home. Personally, I prefer the green chile over the red. The red chile felt like it was missing a bit of flavor for my taste, but that doesn't take away from how much I support this place. Carolina's has been part of our community for years. If you grew up in Phoenix in the '90s, this spot hits you with pure nostalgia the smell of fresh flour tortillas, just like the ones your mom or abuelita used to make. Let's keep it low key... IYKYK

First time here. I ordered the Carne asada burrito and a dozen fresh made tortillas. The burrito was delicious and massive. The pack of tortillas were still warm. The staff was friendly and efficient. I took it to go but would eat on site.

Ordered the shredded beef chimi with a beer 🍺. Fresh lettuce with tomato 🍅 on the side, great guac 🥑, and stuffed full of meat and cheese. The original restaurant is where it's at.

This place was highly recommended by the folks at the FBO at LAS. The food was good and the business was brisk. Very plain decor, but I liked the place!

I see all the good reviews and I have no idea how. This place was extremely-extremely dirty. Flies all around the trash can. Looks like a place you’d find in a 3rd world country… but that can be looked over depending on how good the food is… and the food is VERY bland. No flavor. Bean and cheese burrito super watery. Got the whole order wrong first time, had to remake everything. There are numerous other Mexican restaurants in the area, many with lower reviews, that have much better food and cleaner establishment. I’m very confused by everyone saying this place is the best.
