We went for a late night dinner on a Thursday night!! When we reached we had reservations but the place felt empty, within the place filled up with people…if you want to feel the vibe go later in the evening. The food was exceptional, the corn salad, the salsas, the steak & tacos all A+++.

A friend and I came to Condesa on a Thursday night for dinner and drinks. We each ordered a classic margarita—great price at $14– one strawberry (with a sugar rim) and a jalapeño one with a tajin and salt rim—and I loved how they present them! The strawberry one came shaped like an heart! Also, instead of a full rim, they do this cute, artistic strip of sugar or salt on the glass. It’s a small detail but really well done. The space itself is super charming. There’s a long bar with plenty of seating, plus a cute patio out front near the sidewalk. Inside, it’s low-lit with Mexican music playing, greenery hanging from the ceiling, and a bit of an industrial feel—it all comes together really nicely. Even the bathroom is adorable. The bartender was also super friendly, which made the experience even better. she checked in with us often. Very kind soul! We started with chips, salsa, and guac. You get a few different salsas: a chunky spicy one, a spicy green salsa, and a mild red. The chips were really good, and they also included these pinwheel-style chips that were a little different and had a nice bite to them. For my meal, I ordered the pollo asado burrito stuffed with rice and meat—really good. My friend got the enchiladas with refried beans and rice and loved them too. The enchiladas had plenty of sauce, and the beans (pinto) and rice were both really well seasoned. Portions were generous—we even had enough to take home for breakfast the next day. Overall, such a cute spot with great food, strong drinks, and thoughtful details—right down to the real flowers at the bar. Definitely would come back.

La Condesa began promoting its June 18, 2026 World Cup watch party for the Mexico vs. South Korea match days in advance, encouraging customers to make reservations and positioning itself as a destination to watch the game. What they failed to disclose anywhere in their advertising was that customers would be forced to leave after one hour. We made a reservation specifically to watch the match. After ordering food and drinks, our food had just arrived, was still warm, and more than 90% of it remained untouched when staff informed us that our time was up. The match hadn’t even reached halftime. We explained that we were there because of the watch party they promoted. We offered to continue ordering food and drinks. We offered to spend more money. The answer was still no. When we pointed out that none of the social media posts promoting the event—including those posted two days before the match—mentioned a one-hour limit, management claimed the hostess should have informed us upon arrival. Had we known we would be kicked out before halftime of a two-hour match, we never would have made a reservation or spent our money there. To make matters worse, the restaurant was extremely hot, with little to no effective air conditioning. The most telling part? After being confronted about the misleading promotion, the watch party advertisement was removed from their social media. Fortunately, screenshots were saved. If you’re considering attending a future watch party at La Condesa, be sure to ask whether you’ll actually be allowed to stay long enough to watch the event they’re promoting.

This has to be some of the best Mexican food in downtown Phoenix. The chips and salsa started off strong- fresh all around and I enjoyed all three salsas. My wife enjoyed the asada plate, which was not only delicious but a great value. My shrimp taco was cooked perfectly, and the barbacoa was moist and flavorful. However, the best taco was the apson with carne asada- I would return for this alone! Everything was so well-prepared and detail-oriented. I didn’t love my cucumber cocktail but would eagerly try something else next time. Service was quick and friendly. Highly recommend!!

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles from the hostess, Seated with their complementary appetizers, Then greeted by our amazing waitress Anna! Who is very educated on their menu & Was very attentive! Cocktails were amazing & food was great! First time here & will definitely be here again in the near future as the ambiance is Everything ! This place checks all the boxes! Thank you Anna for taking care of my fiancé & I tonight on our date night ✨🙌
