Incredible experience! The best restaurant in Bakersfield! Very passionate team and super creative dishes. We had an incredible server named Isaac and even got to meet Chef Alejandro and manager, Oscar. All were extremely professional and made our meal unforgettable. 5 stars!

I had an incredible experience at Zama! The Taco de Chicharron Ribeye was the highlight perfectly crispy ribeye on a flour tortillas with fresh guacamole and watermelon radish. The steak tacos Arrachera were also tender and flavor, served with a delicious. The atmosphere is stunning and feels like you’ve been transported out of Bakersfield. It’s dimly lit with elegant light fixtures and large projector screens showing beautiful landscapes. I also loved the complimentary trio of salsa served with warm chips right at the start the green one is a must try! 🔥🔥🔥

Food, service, and atmosphere was great in this place. We ordered, Chorizo croquettes, flautas (amazing) the rice was actually similar to mom's home made, just delicious and traditional. The oysters, were fresh, cool and perfectly sized. I ordered the salmon with quinoa risotto, and it was out of this world. The pasta with shrimp was delicious. Chips and salsa come with 3 salsas, one was Salsa Macha and oil based and very traditional. I absolutely loved it. My only suggestion is stronger table lighting. They use candles, which is a lovely touch and great mood setter, but if you're eye sight is going, definitely will be challenging to see in there. Maybe offer some Tiny table lamps lol. But other than that it was 10/10. Superb service and staff. I am a local and hadn't made it in yet. It did not disappoint. I will definitely be back.

I just started spending more time in Bakersfield and finally tried Zama. Honestly, the food was incredible. I had the ribeye and it was cooked to perfection, and the mashed potatoes were seriously so good too. The bartender, Jazz, was amazing and made me feel really welcomed to the new spot. You can tell there’s a great vibe and a lot of care put into the experience. I’ll definitely be back!

If you haven't been to Zama yet, you are seriously missing out! My sweet coworker friend insisted we stop here for dinner before a movie, and I am SO glad I listened. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was a total vibe—it felt like we stepped right into vacation mode! Everything we ordered was incredibly fresh. I had the Chicken Flautas with a side of rice and beans (perfect!), and he got the Chicken Mole. Now, I don’t even usually eat mole, but let me tell you—from Zama, I DO! It was delicious. But the absolute showstopper? The salsa and those little mini tostadas. All three sauces were better than the next! I honestly might start calling just to order those to-go. If you want amazing food and an even better atmosphere, this is the place. Everything was just amazing!
