As you walk in, you immediately get immersed into an atmosphere that makes you want to eat Mexican food even with more desire. The music is good, the place is clean and the decor is lively. We drive here from South Fort Worth (45min drive) specifically because the kids love the quesabirria tacos. The meat is very flavorful and the broth dip is amazing, whether you just use it to dip your tacos in or finish up the soup. I like to explore menu and so far nothing has disappointed! The green pozole, chilaquiles divorciados, sopes, an tacos de tripa are my top choices, but every now and then I choose some random dish I have not tried here and I’m always ready to return. The portions are plenty and the salsa bar tops it off. I really appreciate the crew being so courteous, that alone is a great reason to keep coming back. I wish there was one closer to home, but until then, the trip will always be worth it.

Tried the steak (bistec), al pastor, and carnitas. The carnitas are supposed to be slow-braised crispy pork, but honestly all three meats had very little flavor. Total was about $25, so it’s pretty affordable. I’m giving it 3 stars mainly because of the price, but the quality wasn’t great. I’ve definitely had better tacos at the same price point. That said, the service was great, the atmosphere was really nice, and the prices are solid. They also give plenty of meat on the tortillas, so they’re definitely not stingy with the portions. I’ll come back to try other items on the menu and will update my review after that.

Guanataco is definitely the best place for your Mexican food ! We came in to Dallas for a soccer tournament, and were searching for a place with some good food, we’ll let me tell you this is our second day here already. They have amazing food , amazing costumer service and the local it’s self it pure Mexico vibes ! You definitely have to come try this place ! I will definitely be back here every time we come in to Dallas !

Warmly greeted and welcomed. Service was great and helpful. Food was great. Best menudo I’ve had recently, sopes were piled high and delicious (pastor and barbacoa were yummy). I loved their variety of salsas. They also mentioned on Tuesday they have a special for 4 tacos, a side, and soda for $8. We will be coming back to try more of their menu.

We have been coming here since they’ve opened and the food has never disappointed! Julio and Jesus were super friendly and ready to take our order as we walked in! This time we ordered the Pozole Verde and chicken Flautas 😋
