Cola Henderson 3 months agoThis place looked like it had so much potential with the floral walls and cool bar. Unfortunately, things went downhill fast. Despite only a few other tables, it took about 5 minutes to be greeted. Our server was ok. Not overly friendly, but did her job in a somewhat timely manner. However, the cleanliness of the entire restaurant was so poor. I wasn’t even able to use the diaper changing table in the women’s bathroom and the trash everywhere was off putting. The chips were soggy and salsa tasted like marinara sauce. The shrimp in our tacos were so small that we wondered if they were out of a can.. the only decent bite of food was the rice, which there wasn’t much of. Thankfully the beer was cold.
Santos Aragon 9 months agoI of course had to try this spot for the name alone! Even though they were out of what I was wanting to initially try, my second option was very delicious! The shrimp quesadilla was very flavorful and portioned well. The chicken enchiladas my son ordered were very much prototypical, but still delicious and proportionate. What sealed the deal for me with the food was the Asada fries and their spicy guacamole sauce... yeah, very signature and tasty. The service was top notch and the atmosphere was great... Definitely lived up to it's name!
Jared Halphin 3 weeks ago⭐☆☆☆☆ I sat at the bar and ordered the Birria Quesotacos (3 tacos), expecting a quick meal. Unfortunately, my ticket time was 40 minutes, which was disappointing considering I was only ordering tacos. When I first entered Santos, there was no one at the host stand. The manager, Max, was sitting off to the side on his phone, and I wasn't even sure he worked there until he eventually got up and walked me to a seat. The food was equally disappointing. The Birria Quesotacos had very little meat, very little cilantro, and surprisingly no cheese. The potatoes that came with the meal lacked any seasoning or flavor. They appeared to have shredded Mexican cheese from a bag sprinkled on top that had previously been melted, but by the time the plate reached me, everything was cold. The one bright spot of the experience was the bartender, Dustin. He was the only person working behind the bar and was constantly moving. Despite being busy, he made sure my water and Dr. Pepper were always full and provided excellent service throughout my visit. Unfortunately, good service from the bartender wasn't enough to make up for the long wait, poor food quality, and lackluster first impression.
Jeff Meeker 4 months agoWhere to start.. We went for lunch it was around 1pm. The restaurant was so dark we could barely read the menu. The majority of lunch items came in burrito form. Fajitas- in a burrito.. with the sides.. in the burrito. What is that? Is that a thing people do or like? I ordered the Burrito Loco with chili sauce and it was LOCO. Like I said, they put the sides in the burrito which is fine for some items but the chicken seemed parboiled but wasn't grilled or anything after that so I guess you'd call it just boiled. So the chicken was kind of wet. Then the lettuce in the burrito added to the wet... making it very "MOIST" 🤣. The chili sauce was thick, salty and just not good. I scrapped it off in an attempt to salvage the burrito. They also finished the burrito off in the oven so the chili sauce kind of browned/crusted a little on top of the burrito. It was a very weird situation. The wife ordered a burrito also. I don't remember which one but it was chicken and the same kind of deal. However, the chips and salsa were delicious. So, if you are into boild chicken and the entire meal being Burrito-tized check this place out. They have a decent size bar. Maybe this place is more fitting to go have drinks and appetizers not meals?
Agustin Sandoval a year agoBeautiful place and well located to water front. Staff was friendly and quick to get order through. Roomy seating and interior was clean with nice theme. Food: Nachos was well laid out and tasted great. Definitely worth the money in taste and texture. Great presentation of the dish. Tacos supreme with bean/rice I was not impressed, better tacos at TB. Nothing supreme about it and rice was still hard. Would not recommend that dish. Still plenty of food to choose from but tacos were disappointing in flavor and toppings. Overall I still had a good experience and if I lived in area, I would stop in for a beer and nachos once in awhile.
