We went mid afternoon so it wasn’t busy so that was a plus. Our first time here and I have been wanting to come in and check it out since I viewed about it. Anyways, it’s self sit. Then you order at the counter. Food came out fast and it was delicious. We had to order at bar for our margaritas. They were also yummy. The one I enjoyed the best was the chicharrón plate. So tender… yum. I put 3 stars on service because there really wasn’t any service. Very self serve feeling. Didn’t feel to welcoming but maybe because we came at a time it was basically empty. Either way do recommend! Enjoy! ☺️ will come back to try something else. Price was at normal typical range.

I’m honestly not someone who likes leaving bad reviews, but after this experience, I feel like I have to warn people. This was my first time trying Azul, and I left so disappointed and honestly feeling scammed. My friend and I both ordered four tacos each. I got carnitas, two al pastor, and one asada, and every single one was a letdown. The tacos were greasy, sloppy, and just not good. The al pastor tasted sour, like the meat had gone bad or had been sitting out for way too long. That alone made me uncomfortable, but the fact that the grease was literally pooling at the bottom of the container made it even worse. I’ve had a lot of tacos in my life, and I’ve never had an asada taco this greasy before. It was to the point where neither of us could finish our food. We just threw it away and took the loss. What really bothers me is the safety part of this. Serving meat that tastes sour is not okay, and it made me feel sick after eating it. I work hard for my money, and it’s frustrating to spend it on a meal that was not only bad but honestly felt unsafe to eat. I keep seeing all these amazing reviews and I’m genuinely confused, because this experience was nothing like what people describe. If you’re going to charge premium prices for tacos, the quality should match. There are so many great taco spots in Charlotte that are cheaper and way better, so there’s really no excuse for serving greasy, sour food. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but that still doesn’t make it okay. I won’t be coming back.

Went there after a workday with a group of friends. I tried street tacos with pollo, Al pastor, and Asada since they were out of Carnitas couldn't try it. Tacos were great with juicy meat and vatiety of salasa options for you to pick from the salsa counter. This is a great place for casual dinner! They also have a bar with draft modelo.

So much flavor in every bite! Everything we ordered was packed with taste and clearly made with care. The food came out incredibly fast, and you could tell it was fresh and prepared to order. It’s always a great sign when you don’t have to wait long but still get quality that doesn’t feel rushed. The only downside is that there isn’t a lot of seating available inside, so it can feel a bit tight during busy times. That said, the amazing flavor and quick service definitely make it worth the visit!

By far the best Mexican food we’ve had in the Charlotte area! Authentic from start to finish — the food, the service, and even the atmosphere. The tacos and burritos were packed full and definitely did not skimp on portions. You can truly taste the freshness in everything, especially the handmade tortillas and fresh salsa. The bartender was incredibly friendly, helpful, and made the experience even better. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. So excited to have a place like this local to our area. We’ll definitely be back — and bringing friends with us next time!
