Tony Pirruccello 2 months agoI was originally put onto Flora Café by a coworker, and at first I was seriously impressed. The first three burritos I had from here were amazing—easily some of the best I’ve had in Omaha. Great flavor, good portions, and definitely something I was planning to keep coming back for. Unfortunately, my last couple visits have been a completely different experience. The most recent burrito I got had nowhere near the amount of meat as before—honestly a night-and-day difference compared to those first few visits. Today I tried a torta, and it was by far the worst one I’ve ever had. There was no noticeable mayo, no avocado, barely any lettuce, and the meat was very dry and lacked seasoning. I even took a picture because the difference in quality was that noticeable. Service and atmosphere are both solid—5/5 on both. But food-wise, it feels like things have really gone downhill recently, almost like there’s a different cook or something changed in the kitchen. Really hoping they can get back to how things were at the beginning, because I know they’re capable of making great food.I was originally put onto Flora Café by a coworker, and at first I was seriously impressed. Fe 4 months agoToday I had a date with my son. We chose Flora Cafe for lunch. The atmosphere was smaller but clean and decorated with cute decor. I ordered the chicken and steak fajitas with a mango margarita. My son had the Steak chimichanga. Our appetizer consisted of the bean dip with combo chips(flour and corn). Oh my goodness food came out piping hot! Everything was delicious. The beans and rice perfectly seasoned. The bean dip was topped with queso cheese, so yummy! Not a big drinker at all but felt my face get flushed from my drink! I will return most definitely!!!
Jon Norman a month agoThe chorizo grande breakfast burrito was excellent. We added a side of chorizo gravy which was absolutely delicious. Coffee and matcha was on point as well. Will definitely come back next time we’re in Omaha.
AM 4 months agoWe waited about 15 minutes just to be seated, and once we finally sat down, no one brought us menus. After another 10 minutes, we had to ask a waiter for them. No one asked if we wanted drinks, either. After we placed our order, we waited another full hour for our food, and during that entire time our waiter never checked on us once. I started watching the staff, and several of them were just standing by the tablet talking while customers—including people who walked in after us—waited 10 minutes or more just to be greeted. I even saw multiple people walk out because they never received any help. There were also several dirty tables that could’ve easily been cleaned right away. I checked other reviews afterward (wish I had read them before coming), and many people mentioned poor management. I fully agree—lack of proper management was very obvious and is likely the main reason the service was so bad. When our food finally arrived, it was extremely disappointing. The rice and beans tasted like canned beans and instant rice. They were so bad I couldn’t even eat them. My mom ordered a burrito and couldn’t finish hers either. My aunt asked for salsa, and the waiter never came back—she had to get up and get it herself. It honestly felt like the waiter disappeared until it was time for us to pay which was way over priced for the lack of flavor. Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had. We will not be returning. Hopefully they make improvements, because the service and food were very poor.
Shevi Grayse 4 months agoThis place is adorable and the food was absolutely amazing! I had the chimichunga con asada, it was absolutely delicious! I followed it up with the horchata ice cream that tasted like it HAD to be homemade with yummy little churros. The server was attentive and kind! 10/10, I will be going back soon!
