Maya Cuisine, being owned by the same folks that own Los Cactus north on Central Ave, I had no doubt that it would be just as good if not even better. I love the way they have you order, going down the line of stuff, choosing what you want as you go - I have tried their Al Pastor, Carnitas, Birria Tacos, and Gordita and am very impressed by everything. Their meats are always juicy and cooked perfectly - I love that they have black beans, unlike their other location, Los Cactus. They also have some of the best guacamole that I've had around here - the other toppings are excellent and fresh too. They have a great selection of drinks and sides to top it off as well. The place has a great vibe throughout and the staff are very friendly. A rare five across the board from me, Maya Cuisine is not only one of the best on Central, but also one of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to in the Twin Cities.

This place rocks. Several ways to enjoy their food. The dine in is our go to. Good menu selection, reasonable prices. Many of the menu items are available from their grab and go “lunch” counter. The best bang for your buck is their Sunday brunch buffet. 🤤Incredible variety, even the picky eaters will find something. The tamales are delicious. I’m drooling just thinking about them. The pablano and cheese is our favorite. The masa is well seasoned, the cheese it nice and gooey. 10/10 for me. Build your own tacos in the buffet is beautifully presented and even better on your tongue. Chicken, carnitas, chorizo and beef options. Hard shells and soft. Amazing. For $20, you’d be hard pressed to find a better option anywhere.

Another first time option and we’re happy we tried it. We stopped in with a good sized group on a Saturday evening and were seated in less than 5 minutes. The atmosphere is great, including a couple bars and an easy access take out area. The staff were awesome, very friendly and efficient and the food was delicious. If you’re a good, authentic Mexican food, do yourself a favor and stop in to Maya Cuisine!

Good good, adequate service, just get there before 8:30 as your dining options get very limited while they prepare for the closing 9pm. Personally, I try not to come into a place 30 minutes from close but sometimes my work schedule makes it difficult to do otherwise. That being said, if a place says they are open until 9, they should serve all available options until close to 9. Just my 2c. Definitely recommend, I love their salsa bar (which closes at 830 unfortunately lol).

Had their Sunday Brunch and will definitely be back. Everything was awesome!
