I've heard great things about this place for a while now and have been wanting to try it out for a long time. I have a special occasion coming up and was considering going to Lolita, so I decided to order some takeout first today to see if the food was any good. At first everything seemed really good, I had asked for all toppings on the side (8 toppings) which they did and I appreciated bc I know how annoying that is. The quesadilla looked really good and the first few bites were delicious. Unfortunately, everything took a turn as I bite into a bone the size of my pinky. Completely ruined the meal and left me with a horrible first experience ): Very disappointing because everything else seemed great up until this point. I was looking forward to trying out some of their cocktails too and their restaurant looks beautiful. But now, I don't think I'll be willing to go there anytime soon. Especially for the high price point there needs to be more attention to detail like this. This was a huge safety hazard and had I been an older or younger person I could have potentially choked. I get chicken has bones and accidents happen, but I shouldn't have to worry about choking on a bone when I bite into a $23 quesadilla. Either more attention to detail needs to be present in the kitchen, or the staff is being overworked and rushed. Disappointing experience altogether.

If you’re looking for a truly unique dining experience in Boston, add Lolita to your list. Think “Cool underground Goth club (complete with house dj) meets chef-inspired Mexican”. Apparently the menus change quite a bit throughout the day. We were here Saturday for the brunch/Lunch menus and had the Red Crab Aguachile (incredible!) and the Hot Queso to start, followed by the Steak Tacos and Grande Burrito. You know how some Mexican places serve different plates that all taste like different versions of the same thing? Not here. Each dish had a unique, signature flavor that made it pop in our mouths. They were busy and the staff was hustling to keep up but they did a great job. If you’re in town with your kids looking for family lunch, this may not be your place. But if you’re a foodie who loves amazing food served in unique & funky environments, this needs to be on your list!

Loved the vibe here! From the second we sat down and got the complimentary tequila granita, I knew it was going to be a fun. The gothic decor and red lighting make it feel like a high-end 'vampire's den'. We shared the guacamole trio (the lobster one is a must!) and some steak tacos. Finishing the night with that massive cotton candy and pop rocks was the perfect touch. Definitely make a reservation, as it was packed

Gorgeous restaurant, delicious food. The guac trio was delightful, the lobster was tender and buttery, it was great! The thick bacon on the guac was slightly smokey but so succulent! The decor was to die for! Loved the stained glass dancing skeletons, and the bone room, so cool!

Lolita offers a dining experience which is different from other places. Especially the little details are really nice. The food, of which we tried the tacos and the quesadillas, were really nice. Oh, and don’t forget the starter: guacamole with pork - I didn’t know I need to know - absolutely spectacular! The crispy pork pieces with the guacamole fitted perfectly! After your food you receive the bill together with cotton candy. Simple, but really effective. It really brings you back to old days. Service is friendly and helpful. Only minor point would be the music, which is quite loud, depending where you are seated. But again, that’s also the concept I would say.
