Tried Serg’s for the first time recently and enjoyed it. I ordered the ceviche salad, burritos, and nachos, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. I really liked my ceviche! Super fresh, good chunks of fish, super small shrimp though. The chips tasted freshly made and the green salsa had some HEAT, which I personally loved but some might find too hot (so you’ve been warned!) I will say they aren’t the most allergy-friendly restaurant I’ve been to in that they weren’t super willing to make accommodations. However, they were willing to have a conversation and answer questions to see which food I could eat. Overall, pretty tasty food.

Quick spot for lunch, generous portions and plenty of outdoor seating. I’ve had pulled pork nachos, pork was a bit dry and hard to chew, chips were a bit stale for my taste. I enjoyed their mild salsa. Portion was big enough for two to share.

We spent the day on the North Shore and didn't get back into town until around 7:30 PM. Since it's nearly impossible to get through by phone, we ordered DoorDash for pickup. I arrived at the restaurant before the order was ready and was told it would be out shortly, but I wasn't informed that they were out of the chile rellenos. Unfortunately, I didn't check the order until I got home and discovered that my chile rellenos had been replaced with cheese enchiladas instead. While the food is normally great, it was disappointing not to receive what I originally ordered especially since by the time I realized it, the restaurant was minutes from closing and they don't answer the phone. I'll be more mindful next time when ordering online, although it's difficult to call ahead to check item availability since I can never get through by phone.

Had high expectations given the local enthusiasm, but was a bit underwhelmed. Where most Mexican joints don't use enough lard, here it is the opposite extreme - the street tacos absolutely soaked and sitting in a pool, overwhelming the birria sauce and the turning the taco into a soggy mess. The chile verde tacos was ruined by this same pool, adding in its own fat from a heavy hand of generic cheese. The string beef in the flauta was a bit dry and under seasoned, and the flauta itself when soggy was flavorless and mushy. The rice and beans were excellent, as was the add on salsas. The nachos was a healthy portion, albeit with more beans than typical. These beans are a bit under seasoned as well, but likely healthier. Overall, I recognize that takeaway Mexican food imparts all sorts of unfortunate issues to this particular cuisine - soggy things that should be crispy, hardening and demusifying cheese that changes both texture and flavor, etc - but even accounting for that, at $15-20 per entree, I was hoping for more flavor and less grease.

We stopped here because I was craving chips and salsa. They really didn't have any mild salsa so that was not good for me. Though I had their ceviche tostadas. They were absolutely amazing. They were very yummy and fresh tasting. My youngest had his usual cheese quesadilla. He liked it. My oldest had the Elote. He enjoyed it. My husband had the enchiladas. He said they were ok. I would for sure recommend this place for the tostadas, rice, beans, and Elote.
