Follow the smell… stay for the flavor We found La Piña Cantina by literally following the smell of sizzling goodness in the air, and it led us straight to a carne asada plate that tasted way too good to be a coincidence. I looked at my friend and said, someone in that kitchen has to be Mexican… and sure enough, the chef was! We had to give our compliments because the flavor was absolutely on point. The plate was generous, easily enough for two people, and after seeing another table with street elote, I had to order one too. No regrets. Everything tasted authentic, fresh, and full of flavor. Happy hour was solid, drinks were well served, and the food came out fast. We ended up having so much fun that we offered to face paint the staff, they loved it, and before we knew it we had spent hours hanging out at the main bar while the rain poured outside. We came back again with another friend and tried the chicken and beef quesadillas… huge portions and just as delicious. The staff is attentive, the vibe is fun, and the food never disappoints. Rainy day, happy hour, great people, amazing Mexican food in Honolulu. Definitely coming back for more. 🌮🍹✨

La Pina Cantina has fun and casual vibe from the moment you enter. The location is easygoing, not too touristy. La Pina Cantina feels friendly and open. Staff are energetic and warm, talking like friends. Service is quick but careful. Food is colorful and full of flavor, tacos and drinks are great for sharing. Portion size is good. Music and atmosphere are lively but not stressful. Seating is comfortable and clean even when busy. Overall, La Pina Cantina is a place to relax and enjoy. 楽しくて美味しい。La Pina Cantina makes you forget time.

It’s located in a funky cool food Hall with great music and atmosphere. The street tacos and street corn…, OMG just like I used to get as a kid visiting grandma in Easy LA. Soo good. The chips and queso were good too. And strong drinks 😁 the crew was Awesome and friendly and the order came out FAST. cool chill place to visit in Oahu.

Don’t let first impressions fool you! ​On our first night, we walked past and thought the place looked a bit cheap and unappealing. A few days later, though, we were craving tacos and tequila and decided to give it a shot since we were starving. ​It was the best decision! The service was fast, friendly, and very helpful. The pineapple chili margarita was delicious, and my shrimp tacos were juicy and packed with flavor. My husband also really enjoyed his beef tacos. ​We definitely recommend this place—I’m actually having one more margarita before we go! 😃

The nachos and tacos were absolutely delicious! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. You can tell they really care about the quality of the food. The staff was also incredibly nice and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Great food and great service. We will definitely recommend it.
