Celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday dinner here. The experience was phenomenal from start to finish. Our server did a fantastic job explaining the menu and giving suggestions while also building rapport with his jokes and making us feel very at home. Food was great and all came out incredibly fast. Since it was my girlfriend’s birthday they gave us a complimentary dessert, the Pannacotta was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. Incredibly well balanced and not too sweet something to perfectly end the dinner even though you’re stuffed.

The food was okay, but expected better due to the price point. The restaurant itself is nice, however the service was horrible. This alone ruined our experience. Our waiter was extremely rude and did not check in on our table to make sure we were okay, let alone to give us our bill. At some point she grabbed one of my guests’ plate and put a napkin in it before they were done eating without even asking. Even as we tried to order our food when we first arrived, she was constantly talking over us and had an attitude. When we finally got our bill (which we had to ask three different staff members for) we saw that she mistakenly added over $70 worth of food that we did not order to the bill. When she went back to correct it, there was a rooftop fee that was added on top which wasn’t there before (we dined inside on the first floor). This was only a few of the many issues we encountered during our dinner. We could tell she did not want to be there which impacted our experience. It was so bad that I wanted to get the manager involved but decided against it to not completely ruin my dinner experience. Very disappointed in the service and how we were treated.

We decided to celebrate Christmas Eve at Palo Santo and it was a lovely choice! The food was fresh, delicious, and vibrant. If I had to narrow it down to one thing they do exceptionally well, it's the different sauces! They make each dish special and exciting. Our favorites were the shrimp, the artichoke, and the carne asada. The holiday beverage options were fun and festive, although I would love more non-alcoholic warm options. Warm herbal tea to cut through the heaviness of the meats would be delightful! The tequila cart experience was paused for the night and it was sorely missed. I would definitely recommend it if it's available when you go - it's so much fun. The service was kind and efficient. The ambience was festive although I would've appreciated the music to be a little less loud - it was hard to hear each other at certain points in the night. We had a senior citizen with us and it made it hard for her to participate in the conversation.

Maria was absolutely outstanding! From the moment we were seated, she greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home. Her attentiveness was exceptional—she anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and checked in just the right amount without ever making us feel rushed. Maria’s knowledge of the menu was impressive, offering thoughtful recommendations that turned out to be perfect choices. Her friendly, upbeat personality made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. If you’re lucky enough to have Maria as your waitress, you’re guaranteed excellent service and a wonderful meal.

After experiencing both the rooftop events and the downstairs dining, I can say Palo Santo is a must! Its characterized by its opulent atmosphere that sets the mood for an enchanting night. The entire experience from the service to the delectable dishes are very well executed. One of the things that I enjoyed the most was the eye for detail. From the host stand to the dining room, nothing was out place and you could see the contemporary blends of Mexican Artesanía. Although I enjoyed every dish my favorite bites where the steak tartar & the carne asada that is paired with bone marrow. The dishes are cleverly crafted, it’s not hard to tell that a lot of work was put into curating the menu. The drinks are just as as delectable. Their mixologist deserves a gold star! To my enjoyment they even provided me with a stand for my purse which was very much appreciated. The service was flawless! As for the rooftop, it’s absolutely captivating with a skyline view of the city. They hold multiple events throughout the month that are both vivacious and festive with a striking assembly of beautiful people. Perfect to meet hot new singles in the city! Highly recommend for a girls night out. There are many photo worthy spots throughout the restaurant that would be perfect for photographs to fit your social media needs or just a great pic to commemorate a bewitching evening. They offer complimentary parking which is always a plus not to have that extra cost to my dining experience. Dress code is high end, polished attire. I definitely plan on coming back for both the dining experience and the rooftop parties, as I have a couple cocktail dresses that I’m dying to wear. Palo Santo has truly impressed me and can’t wait to be back!
