Muchchas in Tampa is unforgettable. The first time we visited Tampa, we stumbled upon this spot and ordered the quesotaco — and it instantly became the best taco I’ve ever had in my life. No exaggeration. The flavor, the texture, the way everything comes together… it’s on a completely different level. Fast-forward to our most recent trip: the number-one thing we remembered from Tampa was this taco place. We literally came all the way from Connecticut just to have these tacos again — and they were just as incredible as we remembered. If you want a taco experience that stays with you long after you leave, Muchchas is the place. Absolutely worth the trip.

Muchachas truly stands out when it comes to the delivery of a great tasting and reliable meal as it stands to the surrounding competition at Armature Works - that latter statement doesn't come lightly as there are some big heavy-hitters when it comes to great food. Their Quesatacos slaps like none other, producing a passionate re-imagination of the traditional birria tacos. The fusion of the cheese, onions, and cilantros along with the birria meat which is then sandwiched between the fried tortilla stack is a wonder within itself. A small bowl of birria dip is paired with these tacos to create an amazing dish like none other. Each bite captures the flavor of the "au jus"-style dip, the tenderness of the meat, and the crunchiness of the tortilla. Along with the flavors, the quesataco truly gives the foodie an around-the-world experience in one dish. ...and oh yes, their other menu items, which I am sure are great options as well. On approach, Muchachas almost takes on a Chipotle vibe when it comes to their assembly line. However, the wait is worth it while each of their staff members are incredibly pleasant and friendly which makes the entire transaction great. All-in-all, Muchachas is truly a staple of the Armature Works complex. I highly recommend Muchachas as your option to go with as you will not be disappointed!

Do not recommend the street tacos. Meat sits in the bucket and does not seem fresh. Birria taco was decent but consommé was lacking flavor/richness and I had to add guac, street corn, and lime juice in the tacos to enjoy them. Guac was good! and mexican coke was nice, but I wouldn't come back if iM being honest. Service was great!!

April 25, 2026 got the Birra Beef 🥩 Nachos, added all the free toppings plus $3 for quad and a pineapple 🍍 soda 🥤 cost $23 shared with my friend!

Delicious! Fresh ingredients, and larger portions. If you are looking for authentic Tex-Mex in a beautiful location in downtown Tampa, then you must definitely try Muchachas.
