Hands down the best Mexican restaurant we’ve found in Miami and we’ve tried quite a few! The quesabirrias were by far the best I’ve ever had. What really sets them apart is that they use authentic goat meat instead of beef which made them incredibly flavorful and rich. You can truly taste the difference. My son ordered the green chilaquiles and they were perfect - crispy not soggy and packed with flavor. The sauce is what makes chilaquiles and this one was absolutely on point. I had the sopes 1 carnitas and 2 al pastor and the carnitas were my favorite - so tender and full of flavor. And the horchata? Amazing. I’m very picky when it comes to horchata but this one had the perfect balance - sweet, smooth, and milky. To top it all off, Angelica made the experience even better with her outstanding customer service. She was attentive the entire time and even gave us great recommendations for places to visit. 10/10—highly recommend!

Yes!!! My ole lady and I had put the hotel that we thought was great, but wasn’t when we had to catch an early flight the next day we noticed that there was no restaurants. Everything was downtown Miami so we chose this restaurant. We caught an uber from the hotel the Uber driver tried to take us to brick. Well they had more restaurants and better selections but we decided to chill and take this one. Walked in the small Mexican restaurant look family on treated us like we were family watched a good soccer game (football game). The waitress make sure that we ate good proportion was nice real nice the short rib was tender juicy. The fajita was nice as well. The drink was was great. Didn’t get the bar in the name shut out, but he did his thing for making the drinks. The atmosphere was was awesome.

Don Maguey is a great spot for authentic Mexican food. The fajitas came out sizzling, fresh, and full of flavor with generous portions. The rice and sides were delicious, and everything tasted homemade. The green and red sauces were AMAZING 🌶️🔥 Super flavorful and nicely spicy — definitely a highlight of the meal and perfect with the warm, crispy chips. The atmosphere is cozy and colorful, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Drinks were cold, service was quick, and the overall experience was excellent. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had a very good experience at Don Maguay. It’s a small but very pleasant restaurant with great background music and a relaxed atmosphere that isn’t too loud. The service was excellent, and the food came out very quickly. As an appetizer, we ordered the queso fundido, and it was incredible—I’d give it a 20 out of 10. We also ordered tacos al pastor. They were good, although they weren’t the closest to traditional authentic al pastor tacos. Another plus is that there is plenty of parking available outside. Overall, it’s a nice place with good food and excellent service.

Don Maguey was an excellent experience from start to finish. I genuinely enjoyed everything I ordered. The complimentary chips and salsa set the tone right away, perfectly crunchy, not oily, and with a great overall texture that made them hard to stop eating. I ordered the nachos with added beef; they were very good and generously portioned. My only small suggestion would be to fully ground the beef rather than using smaller chunks, which I think would complement the dish even better. The highlight, though, was La Combinación, a large plate featuring tacos, flautas, and a sope, an ideal choice if you want to sample multiple items in one sitting. Overall, this is easily one of the best Mexican restaurants in town, and I’ll be returning very soon.
