Just finished having brunch at Tamayo and this was my first time coming here it was amazing! We originally came for their brunch special, and it did not disappoint. They have a great brunch menu and even offer endless mimosas, which made the experience even better. Our waitress was incredibly kind and helpful, the atmosphere was gorgeous, and the food was phenomenal. One of the coolest parts was getting to see the rooftop upstairs, which would be a perfect space for events or parties (and I learned they actually host them!). I even grabbed the contact cards for the event coordinator. Brien, the store manager, was extremely kind and wonderful to speak with. Overall, the entire staff was hardworking, welcoming, and provided truly great service. I’ll definitely be back!

We had such a great time at Tamayo in Denver. The food and atmosphere were both fantastic, but honestly, the people are what made the night truly memorable. We know Lupita and Scott from their days at La Sandía in Northfield before it closed, so running into them again at Tamayo felt like catching up with old friends. Lupita was behind the bar doing what she does best: warm, attentive, and somehow managing to keep the bar running while also making drinks for the servers, so the whole restaurant never missed a beat. And I'll say it plainly: nobody makes margaritas as she does. Still the best we've had. Scott, the Manager, spotted us the moment we walked in and made us feel right at home. His hospitality is genuine, his attention to detail shows, and you can just tell the place runs the way it does because of him. We'll absolutely be back. If you're on the fence about visiting Tamayo, don't be. Great atmosphere, great food, and people who actually make you feel like you belong there. Ayyy Lupita!!! Luis & Maricela

The food and drinks were great. Service was nice, we were told we’d get a spicier salsa for the chips trio and didn’t. It’s cool, we know it gets busy. Did have leftovers that the servers bagged up and even though we told them that we wanted these things- the pico, guacamole, and tortillas weren’t included. For a $300 dinner it would’ve been cool to get all of our leftovers lol.

We tried the bottomless menu, which was a nice way to sample all the dishes. The food was good overall, though some items needed seasoning—no salt, pepper, or sauces were offered, and the chicken was dry. Dessert was the highlight and very tasty. The service wasn’t that great either. Also, double-check your bill; ours initially came overcharged.

Tamayo continues to be one of those places that reminds you why classics exist. The ribeye fajitas were the standout. Served sizzling, perfectly cooked, and paired with all the right sides so you can build each bite to your liking. Everything tasted fresh and well seasoned, and the tortillas were exactly what they should be. One thing I really appreciated was the mocktail program. We had only non alcoholic drinks and they were thoughtful, well balanced, and satisfying. It never felt like a downgrade from a cocktail, and I loved leaving dinner feeling good instead of sluggish. Between the food, the atmosphere, and the drinks, Tamayo delivers a polished but approachable experience. It’s a great option for a downtown dinner that still feels fun and indulgent without being over the top.
