It can be difficult to find sit-down restaurants in the Springs open past 9PM on weekdays which is why we came here. They are open until 10 and will NOT disappoint! We ordered the Quesabirria Plate and the Colorado Burrito with Chorizo. Both were absolutely delicious, great flavor, and huge portions. Chorizo was homemade and the birria was flavorful and tender; definitely both fork and knife dishes. Service was awesome, very friendly and welcoming. It was also a nice, quiet atmosphere. We will definitely be back to try more!

Server William was great attention to detail came back to make sure we had all that we needed. The Food was well prepared but, the Tamales was some what dry, rice tasted like Spanish rice and needed no improvement. The Chili Rieno was traditionally prepared. I enjoyed the food and Atmosphere.

We celebrated our son’s birthday at Mi Mexico Restaurant and it was a joyful, hassle-free experience from start to finish. The staff handled our party with warm hospitality—attentive service, timely food delivery, and helpful flexibility when we adjusted the seating. The menu offered generous portions and authentic flavors: enchiladas and fajitas were well-seasoned, rice and beans were comforting, and the kids’ plates arrived promptly and smelled inviting. Presentation was colorful and family-friendly. A highlight was the festive birthday moment: the staff gathered to sing “Happy Birthday,” creating a lively, celebratory atmosphere that delighted guests of all ages. They also gave us a sombrero for photos, which added a playful, memorable touch and made for great family pictures. The restaurant’s decor and music complemented the occasion without overwhelming conversation. Parking was straightforward and the venue’s layout made it easy to keep an eye on energetic kids. Small negatives: the dining room can feel noisy with large groups, and dessert options were limited, but these didn’t detract from the overall fun. For a warm, culturally rich spot that embraces celebrations with charm and attentiveness—complete with singing staff and a photo-ready sombrero—Mi Mexico is an excellent choice for a family birthday in Colorado Springs.

I love it when I go to a restaurant and I am provided with good service. William, our server was awesome. Pleasant, prompt and on point. The presentation of the food was good. The portion sizes were a bit on the large side. But, as many of you know, I'm a Latina and as I've said before, I'm very critical of Mexican food. But as a whole, the food was good and I would say that most people will enjoy it. The "top shelf Margarita" was tasty. The portion size was a little on the small side compared to the price. It is a large restaurant with a large menu, but not a lot of items that I was familiar with back East. The food is middle of the road, especially for the price...the average meal was around $23.00...and that was just the entree!! Whatever happened to affordable Mexican Food? There are better and more authentic Mexican restaurants in Colorado Springs in that price range...and a fabulous AFFORDABLE and more delicious meal is available at Arceo's on Nevada. However, that being said, we had a party of 12 and the service was superb, and I do not believe Arceo's could accomodate a group that size. The restaurant was packed, so our table was turned quickly. I don't like to be negative, but the next time I want authentic Mexican, I will go to Arceo's.
