Felt homey and was beautiful interior! Had a lot of options on the menu, our waitress Olivia was very helpful when I let her know of my allergy and she made sure my food was allergy free! Very attentive and very sweet. I got the Mar Y Tierra and it was amazing! Seasoned well and very large portions! My boyfriend got the Colorado burrito and said it was an 8.9/10 very delicious! Had so much leftovers. To end it with the Tres Leches cake it was simple sweet and was the best way to end a meal. 100% recommend and we believe we found our new spot!

The portions are huge The food is great. The flavor not overly spicy perfect blend. The size of the plate is like giant frisbee. Bigger than a steering wheel. So if you're a couple you probably only need to order one plate of food. This is is a buffet they just don't advertise it as one. We forgot our to-go boxes and the man brought it to our car excellent service.

They don't mess around here, they are serious about there offerings here. An extensive menu, don't miss out on the grande Real Margarita, well worth $20, I dare you. Had a 3 piece combo, excellent chile relleno, chicken enchilada and pork tostada, I tried to leave a clean plate but couldn't do it. Definitely should check ✅ it out. Best in town.

No idea why or how I’ve waited this long to eat here but so glad I finally did! So close to 5 stars. If it weren’t for that horrible smell upon entering. But that aside, the food, service, drinks and view from the patio are amazing. Our waiter Berto, was prompt, personable, knowledgeable and professional. LOVE how they serve a side of beans with the chips and salsa which were great. We ordered a breakfast burrito with steak and the green chili on the side. The burrito is plentiful, full of flavor from the moment it hits your mouth. The green chili was delicious and I’d leave it atop the burrito next time I order it. The chile rellano was that perfect amount of chile flavor, loaded with melted cheese. The rice and beans both authentic as they come and tasty. The cheese enchiladas was simple but still maintained a satisfying taste. I was able to sample the Chili Colorado and that is definitely on my next order too. Thick chucks of tender beef in a thick, red sauce that boasts so much flavor. Ordered to go: OMG, the Mocha Cake is a must, light, just the right amount of sweet - divine. I’m craving one as I type this. My son enjoyed the Birra Tacos and would order them again. The drinks were on point. The only thing that was a major turnoff is the funky/ foul smell. Resolve that, and you’ve got it made all the way around. Pretty sure this is my new favorite Mexican spot. Try it today it may be yours too!

My Husband and I visited Mexico Real for the first time and had a wonderful Mexican meal. Our waiter was wonderful, very helpful and friendly and the restaurant was decorated in Mexican style. The bathrooms were very clean and bright. The dishes served are more flavors and sauces of Mexico not New Mexico that is popular in Colorado. There are many choices that feature seafood and they also featured several kinds of soups like caldo de res, posole, and menudo! So I am looking forward to going back to try them! My Husband had the Arroz con Pollo which looked nice and healthy with red and green peppers, onions, mushrooms in a red sauce that was not spicy at all but had good flavor. I had the special, a burrito pastel which had small cubes of pork meat, rice, whole beans, and was covered in a green chili sauce that was more orange looking and not at all like the green chili I make, hopped tomatoes & onions. It had a little spice and was very tasty. Both dishes were good sizes and we both took home leftovers that will last us for two meals I'm sure!! Overall, Mexico Real in Colorado Springs is a nice little Mexican food restaurant and we will be going back!!
