Azteca Urbano is a funky Mexican eatery you should definitely try. The menu is filled with all the customary Mexican dishes you expect, each with a little twist. We loved the taquitos and we appreciated they were cut in half which made sharing easier. The waitstaff are very attentive and friendly. Margaritas were great. Good place for Mexican food if you're in downtown Colorado Springs.

Wanted to participate in Cinco de Mayo, so was already downtown and found Aztecs Urbano nearby. Decor is nice and everyone was dressed up with celebratory shirts. Our server was very nice and attentive. The chips and salsa were a good starter. We decided to try the chicken fajita plate. We were offered corn and flour tortillas. Meat and vegetables were good, but our rice and beans were cold. The server apologized and returned them to the kitchen and we received the rice back. We didn’t think the rice had much flavor and seemed to be from a big batch. The cold beans turned us off for another serving. We asked if they had black beans as a replacement, but not an option. Overall, not returning here for another meal. We didn’t partake in cocktails, so cannot comment on that aspect of the business. As others have said - not sure why such high ratings are being posted.

I visited this Mexican restaurant in Colorado Springs twice, and both times I really enjoyed the experience. It’s a simple, unpretentious place, but the Mexican food is excellent , flavorful, authentic, and served in very generous portions for such affordable prices. What stood out to me most was how well the peppers and onions were prepared. They were incredibly tasty and complemented the meat perfectly, adding a lot of flavor and freshness to the dishes. The staff is very friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which makes the atmosphere even better. There is also plenty of parking outside, making it very convenient to visit. Overall, it’s a great spot for delicious Mexican food at a very good value.

We were looking for a place to take in the sunset and enjoy a happy hour and came across Azteca Urbano. We’re so glad we did! We each had a skinny marg and chips & salsa to start. Margs are good - not too heavy a pour with a slice of dehydrated orange. Chips and salsa are also good and complimentary. We tried the tacos. Carnitas and Pastor were tasty and well portioned. Service was friendly and attentive. Overall good experience. We’ll be back when we can enjoy the outdoor seating longer.

I went for the Salsa and Bachata lesson. I did not eat anything even though it all looked really delicous. The drinks were great. And really good service. I had a great time. Met some new friends and really enjoyed myself. This is definitely a very friendly atmosphere.
