Came here for mexican food while I was in San Jose and honestly, the food was seriously good. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share, calamari and pulpo, molcajete mixto, shrimp and octopus ceviche, the mixta in green aguachile, plus pork, beef, and fish tacos, and everything hit perfectly. The seafood tasted really fresh and the texture was on point, the octopus was tender and soft, not rubbery at all, and the fried calamari rings had a nice bite and were flavourful. The ceviche was bright and citrusy, super refreshing with that perfect tang, and the green aguachile had a nice kick, spicy, zesty, and really addictive. The molcajete mixto came out sizzling and packed with flavor, rich, creamy, and everything soaked up that sauce so well. The consome was especially good, super flavorful, deep and savory, warm and comforting, perfect to sip between bites. The tacos were simple but done right, juicy meats, well seasoned, soft tortillas, everything balanced and satisfying. Overall, really solid spot if you are craving bold, flavorful Mexican food, definitely one of those places you go back to just for the taste. Will definitely be back if I'm ever in SJ again.

Environment ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ About a 45-minute wait. The restaurant is loud and very “party-like”—people singing birthday songs, taking photos, and even small vendors walking around selling items. If you’re coming with a big group, this would actually be a fun place to celebrate. Food ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ * Tacos Capeados ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Solid—pretty standard fish tacos. * Mariscada Caliente ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Good overall, but a few shrimp weren’t deveined, and the squid clearly tasted frozen. At this price point, I expected fresher seafood.

Best food and atmosphere on earth. This is my favorite place to go out. Their menu covers just about everything you could want. Try the sushi pastor and the octopus. Friday night is double michalada for happy hour. They are a meal by themselves and delicious. All the servers are very helpful. There's always a family atmosphere.

Absolutely loved this place! We ordered several seafood dishes and a mixed meat selection — everything was incredibly flavorful and beautifully prepared. The guacamole was outstanding, and the drinks, especially the micheladas, were absolutely amazing. Not every Mexican restaurant cooks with this level of care and soul. I know only a few places like that, and this one definitely goes on my list of the best Mexican restaurants. Delicious food, great drinks, and very friendly staff. Highly recommend!

When you feel like tresting yourself and family to Mexican Seafood, this place (or one of its sister restaurants) is the place in San Jose to go. Check out the photos of their (newly redesigned) menu! You can maybe ignore the "Mexican Sushi" section 😂, but most of the rest is both authentic and creative. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food looks delicious, you might order more than you can finish!
